George Zimmerman Trial ......

O'Mara asks the old "where does the blood go" question again referencing the bloody nose and if #Zimmerman was standing or laying on back.

This lady is a VERY good witness to the prosecution. Finally somebody to dispute GZ's "life threatening" injuries.

The injuries don't have to be life threatening and no one here has said that they were. Zimmerman only had to be in fear that Martin was going to kill him.
He said in the interview when he wriggled to try to get away, his gun was exposed, Martin saw it, and said something like you're going to die tonight. That's when Z was able to get his gun and shoot M.

Rao is from the home district of State Attorney Angela Corey, the special prosecutor in this case. O'Mara asked if Corey appointed Rao to her post, and Rao replied that Corey "sent my name up to the governor." So, at least it's in front of the jury that Rao's testimony maybe slanted.

I wonder if GZ current hairstyle is typical for him or if his shaved head was more typical? We could put an end to all of this back and forth if they just shaved his head in court and let us all see the shape of his head!

The jury needs to hear everything. Your only hearing one side of the story, TM is not there to defend himself or say what happened.

O'Mara continues to ask questions about swelling, bruises and abrasions to #Zimmerman's head. Rao is holding the picture in her hand.

But that doesn't matter.

He could have no injuries and still claim self defense. That's the biggest problem they have in this case - they have to convince the jury that GZ was not fearing for his life. That's pretty hard to do. They'd be better getting people to testify about his demeanor and that his actions immediately after did not reflect someone who was fearing for his life. Really, the injuries are fairly meaningless.

Zimmerman claims that TM was beating his head repeatedly in the ground (his reasoning for killing TM), if that is disputed (and the jury believes this dispute - ie Zimmerman is lying) one can conclude that he could be lying about other things or GZ jumped to the 'gun' and shot TM. I've stated several times, even if the depraved mind issue (2nd degree murder) can't be concluded, one could find guilt in manslaughter. In Florida this charge would carry 25 years to life in prison.

I agree that the injuries don't have to be life threatening for someone to fear for their life. However, if the injuries weren't life threatening, it seems like GZ would have had a greater opportunity to fight back. From all accounts, GZ did nothing to defend himself except shimmy to the grass. He never threw a punch, tried to overpower TM, tried to flip him over, or grabbed him in his "man parts." ;) Yet, when there was an apparent struggle for the gun, of which I think the person on top would have more power and control with being on top, GZ was easily able to overpower TM and shoot him.

How does the FL self defense/stand your ground law work? If both parties were in fear for their life, does it come down to who was the aggressor? If TM was "standing his ground" and was fighting with GZ in self defense, is GZ legally able to use any form of self defense from someone else's self defense? (Sorry it's cyclical, hope someone understands and can explain!)

Who claimed he had life threatening injuries? As Serino has already testified to, injuries do not need to be life threatening, nor for that matter, are any injuries at all required to fear for ones life. YOU think he needs to have life threatening injuries in order to claim he feared for his life, and so since he did not, you think it helps the prosecution, "your side" as you stated in a previous post. But the law disagrees.

The NWP officer testified that that do not discuss gun ownership.

Regardless, he want patrolling , he was on his way to Target.

If he wasn't on patrol he then should have minded his own business, call whoever was on patrol, or leave it alone after calling the police

Was not directing that at you. I also said the same thing Wild@trial said, and got jumped on.

No offense taken. I love this kind of debate. Sometimes in trials you need to bring a little humor since we are not on the jury or even part of the dispute.
