I really don't get the strategy. I'm trying to reserve my judgment until the state concludes their case at a minimum but I'm having a hard time following the logic in this.

Most analyst are saying its because the State has a really weak case and the inconsistencies are all they have. They are also using defense witnesses as theirs to counter the idea that they are hiding something

Does the state not have a medical person who can testify who actually examined Mr. Zimmerman or Trayvon Martin? Someone who had physically examined either of them would be more qualified to testify than someone who only had photos on which to base her opinion.

The physician assistant that saw GZ already testified. I believe the examiner that did TM's autopsy is still to come.

George also mentioned that TM was looking in peoples houses. From seeing the front of the homes he would need to be very close as I don't think those homes have a very big front window. And with it raining it would make it very hard to see through the window.

This medical examiner is being so obtuse. Her answers are very careful and guarded. She seems reluctant to say anything. Originally she sounded as if she was trying to lead the jury into thinking he'd only been struck on the concrete once. O'Mara is having a heck of a time getting her to admit anything.

Then, if you are always on duty, you shouldn't carry a gun.

I thought that not carrying a gun was part part of the basic training for a neighborhood watch program

Having permit for a concealed weapon is separate and apart from Neighborhood Watch. Neighborhood Watch cannot keep someone from carrying their gun if they have a legal permit which GZ did have.

That seems about right. Which is why I'm not overly impressed with O'Mara.

Yes, and TM's parents are also potential witnesses. I know, legally, they are allowed, but I think, it's unfair. Just my personal feeling.

You said you don't them it's fair the victim's family are always allowed in the courtroom but not the defendant. The is the only right that victim's have that the defendant does not.

Here is my question. Why is the State using an ME from Jacksonville that had nothing to do with this case or even examined anyone?

Why? Are you saying the only one that should be calling anything in is the one on "call", C'mon, I can understand people's opinion that GZ is guilty , but to suggest that someone shouldn't be concerned if they saw something suspicious is silly.

Not all of us see that as suspicious. I see it as a black kid on a phone who took cover to get out of the rain. I would have drove off at that point. I understand they had issues with blacks breaking in and stealing etc but I think he was still in that mode of thinking without using common sense. jmo

It's one of the few rights a victim has. Not really sure why'd you want to take that away.

I don't think so at all. it was raining and TM was trying to get out of the rain. Honestly, I think it would be natural to glance in windows as you walked by, esp. if you were really close. I don't doubt that TM was trying to get where it wasn't raining (under the eaves and close to the houses) and probably looking in as he passed. It's human nature to be nosy.

It was innocent, but because of the recent break-ins it looked suspicious to GZ, I don't think it's a lie.
