Do you have proof, or is this just your opinion?
You mean that the guy recanted ? Then recanted recanting ? Or that he campaigned for Kerry a few years ago ? It's been all over the news.

Or that the funding is crooked ?

A return filed with the Internal Revenue Service by SBVT states that between April 23, when it was formed, and June 30 it had raised $158,750. Of this amount Bob Perry, described by the Houston Chronicle last year as the single largest Texas donor to the Republican Party, contributed $100,000. O’Neill and Harlan Crow, the owner of Crow Realty Investors, both contributed $25,000. [17]

The three contributors thus accounted for over 94% of the income reported to the IRS. (Another eight donors accounted for the remainder of the groups income). [18]

Writing in the Dallas Observer, John Gonzalez, noted that between its formation and reporting its financial data to June 30, SBVT spent $60,403 "for research, Web design, a private investigator, political compliance and to pay Spaeth Communications."

Or that they lie constantly (such as the doctor that "examined" John Kerry for his first purple heart injury...who's name appears nowhere on the medical examination forms ? )

Would you bet the lives of your children on Kerry's plan to protect this nation. Would you put the lives of your children in the hands of the UN? That's what Kerry wants to do. Make your vote count for something. Vote for the person who can best put a program into play that will protect this country. Does it not bother you that our enemies would rather have Kerry in office than President Bush? Just a thought.
:rotfl:

Vote Bush or your children are dead !

WONDERFUL campaign message there  Can't imagine why the republicans haven't hired you yet :teeth:

Maybe you should try opening your mind a bit, and read this book for a real, honest-to-god expert opinion on just how effective Shrub is in the war on terror.

Would you bet the lives of your children on a man that will continue to put them in harms way in Iraq? To what purpose?

I was amazed by this thread as I was recently together in a very nonpolitical situation with friends and associates and we discussing this topic and wondering who in the world was responding that they were voting for Bush in the polls.

This is also my first political contribution to this board just because I felt so compelled by the responses that I have read. To those of you interested and who have not already read the opinions of Ron Reagan (the son), I offer this website:

I have never felt so strongly before politically in my life:

Kerry for President!

Welcome, wmarsich! Thanks for joining us. Just be forewarned, it can get a little muddy on the political threads. ;) Thanks for voicing your support for our next President of the United States, John F. Kerry! :hyper:

Hi again, I already put in my vote --for Bush! But, I noticed the link to Ron Reagan's Esquire article, and wanted to point out that Ron Jr. never once voted for his father. Not that he had to; their opinions differ. I just wanted to let you know that his opinion's importance (to Bush supporters) doesn't INCREASE because of his name (it still can be an important opinon--i'm not disputing that--but the name doesn't make it so).

Michael Reagan, obviously, disagrees with Ron Jr.'s position.

Nancy Reagan also supports Bush!!

Our country needs a strong, dedicated LEADER who's sole focus is on what's best for the people of the USA.

Kerry's only focus is on himself and how much power he can get (with Teddy pulling the strings!).

My vote is GEORGE BUSH all the way!!

I totally agree!

Plus, Kerry is so ugly I really don't want to have to see his face on TV for 4 years!!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW--I don't care in the least who the people of Germany want as President. They need to concentrate on Germany and leave the U.S. to its citizens.

As soon as you start minding your own business, we will concentrate on ours.

But how comes that Dubya was grateful that we helped him out in Afghanistan and still do? And how come that he begged for our help in the harebrained action in Iraq? Then he went in alone, messed it up big time, and is now begging for help again.
So far the only thing we would give him is a pretzel :teeth:
If the USA want to restore their reputation in the world, there's only one chance: Get rid of Bush.
I guess Kerry could win Europe's support: His German and his French are better than Dubya's English - Although that's not so difficult ;) And he knows that there is a world outside the USA.

Good thing voters in the past did not have your standards or Lincoln would never have been elected.
