George W. Bush or John Kerry

Vote Kerry!!! A TRUE AMERICAN HERO

Well said ::yes::

With all due respect, it really doesn't sway me or give me ANY confidence to know Germany would overwhelmingly vote for Kerry.

In all honesty, I think the fact that many in Europe don't like him gives Bush a significant boost among many voters in this country. Ronald Reagan raised the ire of many in Europe and it helped him at home.

As for DC, it is one of the most liberal (not saying that as an insult, honest!) places in the nation -- not likely it'll support a Republican anytime in the near future.

Ummmm, you might want to read thru what Paradise stated again before you make a statement like that. That sounded like an insult to me. When someone makes a statement like that they are asking for trouble. We are insulted and we are just supposed to take it and not say anything??? How fair is that????

Ummmm...didn't see him insulting you personally. He stated his opinion of the politics, not of you. back at ya. If you like make a grocery list of Kerry...I won't be personally offended.

Most of my friends and family are voting for Kerry...it's time for change!

Most of my friends and family are voting for BUSH...even up here in "Kerry" country.

Bush all the way!!! 4 more years!!!

Can't wait to talk about the results here after the election!!!
:teeth:

Everyone I know is voting for Bush. Except maybe my DIL. Although, she's been paying more attention and asking more questions about Kerry--and not the good kind of questions. More along the lines of "Why would he say that then and this now? Which does he really mean?"

FWIW--I don't care in the least who the people of Germany want as President. They need to concentrate on Germany and leave the U.S. to its citizens.

Well yes, of course, I'm aware of this since I live here. :) And no, I didn't take it as an insult, I consider it a compliment. :)

I work in Virginia, which is primarily a Republican state. Still, everyone I work with is for Kerry - those who live here in Virginia, as well as those from Maryland (primarily a Democratic state). Most people I talk to are ready for some changes, even those who supported Bush/Cheney in 2000. Although I've heard several people say if Cheney weren't on the ticket they might feel differently.

You got to ask yourself if this country is better off than it was four years ago, and it isn't. My conscious tells me to vote for neither one of these guys. I'm tired of their empty promises and lack of bi-partisanship to move the country forward.

I would strongly suggest that you read (with an open mind) Unfit for Command. It will open your eyes to the lying that we are hearing from John Kerry. I can't believe that over two hundred Vets would band together, risk law suits for slander, and their rep's if even a part of the story that they are telling is true.

Viking:

Count me in as one of MANY Americans who DOES care what the world thinks of us, and thank you for your observations. What amazes me is we claim to CARE about other countries enough to liberate them, but don't CARE about how countries perceive us.

I do agree that we must do what we feel to be right no matter what but the world reflects a lot of what some Americans feel, also.

Of course many do agree in it and that is the right of a democratic society. That's one of the reasons our leaders are "elected" and hopefully, this time, it will not be an embarrassment.

Ah what the hell. I rarely chime in on these threads but....

BUSH BUSH BUSH BUSH

Wouldn't dare vote for Kerry. Or pretty much any senator for taxachussetts.

George W. Bush :teeth:

also just a thought:
Some people ask "is the country is better than it was 4 years ago?"

and i'd have to say that 4 years ago..the WTC was still standing and the pentagon wasn't damaged by another terrorist flown plane with the same intention of taking it/us down.
that sent the economy and etc into turmoil, and people got REALLY scared for their lives in a country they always felt safe.
Its not just Bush's fault, he can't help being in the Presidential seat when this happened.

when terrorists attack i want someone who will stand up for the country and defend it. i dont see terrorists accepting Peace anytime soon.
