GEO-82 Lounge now open at Epcot

I've watched reviews from some vloggers.

I'll just say I don't think this place is for everyone. It's for people who enjoy alcohol forward, strong, sipping cocktails. It's not to pound drinks. 😂

Some vloggers were complaining the drinks they ordered were bitter. Well, you ordered a drink where Campari was listed as one of the main ingredients. If you don't like bitter, stay away from Campari!

We are looking forward to trying if we can get a reservation. I know my husband will love the bourbon, I'll love the peach whiskey sour and the charcuterie board, crab and hummus are getting great reviews. I would imagine it'll be one and done for us, but still want to try it.

I think Disney must know it's going to appeal to a smaller audience, this could be due to the over 21 and higher prices.

I was able to visit on a preview day. We really enjoyed it. It's quite beautiful inside, looking out over "Future World" is cool (the windows are large enough you can see out from anywhere - don't have to be seated at the window), and all the references to Spaceship Earth in the decor are very well done. It's not a super large space. The team is incredibly knowledgeable about both the space and the menu. It's clear that they're all very excited to be there and proud of all the work that has gone into it and that really shined through in a great way.

As japanese maple said above, these are very creative craft cocktails, quite spirit forward, and meant for sipping. Our server was really helpful with steering us toward what we might like and explaining the flavor profile of each drink. They also do have a unique wine and beer list - all smaller producers - so I think everyone could probably find something they like there. My favorite of the drinks I tried was the peach whiskey smash and warning - that one goes down easily and quite smoothly. It even comes with a little cookie (like 1-2 bites) with peach jam because they didn't want to waste any of the peach. The brown butter old fashioned was also a big hit at the table (love the Spaceship Earth stamped ice cube).

As far as food goes, we tried everything but the charcuterie board. The hummus was fantastic although the chips are very thin and hard to scoop with. Also really enjoyed the mushroom flatbread and tuna. I'm not a fan of crab so didn't love the crab cake but others at the table did. Definitely small bites so wouldn't plan a stop here as a full meal.

When we were there it was not full but have seen some say that when full can be very loud. While we didn't experience it, have heard that full sun through the windows mid-afternoon can make the room feel very warm but I'm sure they'll adjust the AC accordingly. Also saw at least one report that they were running pretty far behind reservation time. Because they aren't limiting your time there like at Oga's think they may need a few weeks of operation to get a feel for how long people are staying.

It's definitely pricey but the vibe is great, the drinks and food were high quality, service outstanding. I'll definitely be back. Probably not every visit but it's a nice retreat from the chaos. And, I have to say, adults only was nice. :duck:

Great review, thank you!!!

Disney website has 2 entries relating to GEO-82.

The lunch/dinner menus are the same and only include pricey drinks & snack type items...........not a full meal.

Disney website has changed from what was shown last week. The 'menus' for lunch/dinner were the same and it was only pricey drinks and snack type items..........not a full meal. Today's website removed any menus and now only references those fireworks events. Maybe they are still in the process of getting it all organized?

There are two entries if you search GEO-82. One just purely that: GEO-82 and the other the GEO-82 Fireworks Experience as shown above. A bit different from other cases where you get a drop down menu to pick from breakfast, lunch, dinner ... in this case you have to make a choice in the initial search.

Wow $179 for the fireworks package, thats basically twice the price of Rose and Crowns at $92 which comes with unlimited alcoholic beverages and an app, entree and desserts and closer view. Even more than celebration at the top as well which is $150. Hopefully it comes with unlimited alcoholic beverages.

I will try and reserve for my July trip and watch reviews ahead of time to see if its worth it.
I have been watching to see if Celebration returns, but I cannot seem to find that. I woudl love to take my family for that experience.

As far as the package goes for this lounge, I doubt I would go, however a cocktail there would be fun.

I have an ADR on 7/10 for 2, but will be solo on that trip. Thinking I may cancel, as I don’t think it will be as positive of an experience versus going on a future trip with a friend.

Theres a bunch of days in July, just not my days.

So is it confirmed that you get the food tray and two glasses of Champaign in the photo if you do the fireworks package? That seems pretty expensive. you would think they would at least guarantee you two drinks and two items off the menu per person or something. but let's face it you are paying for the fireworks view, not the food i guess

I've read that you can get the champagne, which is fairly expensive champagne ($150+ a bottle), a margarita or an old fashioned. Those are "exclusive" to the viewing party, but possibly aren't as good as the normal drinks on the menu (except the champagne is good). They will refill your drinks, time permitting and you can try all 3, you aren't locked down to the one you ordered first. Yes, that is the food tray you get. You can order the regular drinks or eats, but will pay for them on top of the price of the show.

So far I've done the Seats and Treats fireworks party at MK, Rose and Crown package, and Celebration at the Top, I did Spice Road years ago and the items included have changed since then. Imo the best value (food/drink wise) is the R&C one. You get to choose a full size appetizer and entree from a limited menu, a dessert tray and unlimited drinks from the bar, and a great view for the show. You can definitely make Celebration "worth" the price in food/alcohol since they have a full bar, if you figure the price of a handmade Disney cocktail, 3-4 drinks and you are recouping quite bit. It only has finger foods, but they are good, and the view is great but not as nice as the standard CG view since your balcony is further away. The seats and treats, to me, has been by far the worst value food/drink and view wise. It's only some desserts and cubed cheese with crackers, they apparently used to have warm appetizer (think cheeseburger spring rolls) but not now. You can get some bottled beer (bud light, yuengling etc) or wine. The view also isn't good for the projections, but it is nice to have a place to just sit and relax during the show. You definitely are paying the most for the convenience with that package. I would definitely do Celebration at the Top again and R&C if I wanted to eat/drink at R&C.

I had tried to book for June 8 when the booking window opened for Geo 82 - I was on at 6:30am, and there was no availability for the entire day. I tried the days before and after as well and all gone. I'm guessing a bunch of people logged on at 12:01am that day and booked every time slot of every single day all the way out. I periodically tried to book for the days leading up to my trip to see if any cancellations, but no-go.

I tried on June 8 while I was there as well, both at the checkin desk and on the app, for any cancellations - still no go. And no walkups. Oh well. LIke every other new and/or popular restaurant on the dining app with the advanced reservations, I've got almost no chance of getting a reservation, since I don't try to book in the opening minute of the 60-day window day, I don't make a bunch of ressies I have no intention of keeping then just cancel later...I'm just too traditional. I still long for the days when you could call in the morning for a reservation that night at Disney restaurants and lounges.

I'll just have to wait until the fervor dies down a bit - I'll try again for my September trip, then December as well. I'm at Disney World every 3 months or so, so eventually I'll get in. I just want to visit it as a bar - I really wouldn't eat any of the foods. I want to sample the drinks, and enjoy the over-21 atmosphere. I've been in that space before when it was the Siemens lounge...I have been in a few different corporate lounges over the decades - including the old GE lounge in Horizons, the Kraft lounge in The Land above Garden Grill, and the United Technologies lounge in The Seas. Years later, the former Kraft lounge opened as a Passholder lounge for a year or two and I went again...and the space above the American Adventure served as a Visa cardholder lounge for a while.
