Genie+ for a group?

So we are traveling with some extended family - there are four separate households in our party. I am planning for the whole party, and wondering how everyone is handling this when purchasing Genie+. We are not buying for every day of the trip, so we will need to purchase day of as needed. I just tested the process in the app and it looks like I can purchase Genie+ for EVERYONE. Which, for convenience sake is great - I can make one purchase for everyone, not everyone has to be up at the crack of dawn, and I can make our first LL reservation all in one fell swoop, right? But that also means I'm being billed for Genie+ for 11 people. What are people doing in a situation like this? Are you having people basically pre-pay, or Venmo every day? I just don't know what makes the most sense and I want to keep it as easy as possible (for me, lol, since I'm the one planning this whole shindig).

Maybe ask the others in your party how they would like to deal with this. If you offer to be the one to get up early and do all the reservations they will probably be thrilled. As long as everyone knows up front what the expectations are it hopefully won’t be a problem getting reimbursed. Do you trust everyone to repay you? You can also offer to help set up venmo for them if they need it. Clear expectations up front are key to this I think.
Good luck and have fun!

We just went with 10 people and we bought the Genie + each day and then had them buy a meal to even things out. You can pretty easily split it up or just have them pay you back. It's the same amount each day, unless you add a pay ride here or there.

IMO, venmo is the easiest answer for something like that. I would either have them venmo me for their family the day before, or just venmo me at the end of the week for however many days you purchased. Might not know the exact price of any ILLs until after you book them right? Depends on how much you trust them to pay you back

This is a good idea! Didn't even occur to me!

I was in your position for a group of 14 in 3 households back in December. I managed everyone's plans, bought Genie+ and a few ILL selections. I keep a excel speadsheet as a running tab of the purchases throughout the trip then just had each family reimburse me when we returned through PayPal.

Just spent 12 days onsite. Three couples. There was not a single day we utilized Genie+. We ended up getting up VERY early and utilizing early park hours as we stayed onsite. However, this was not the trip we had wished for as we are 60 somethings. To get up early and register for Genie+ and/or Lightening Lane did not make sense as the reservations may not be hours after we were already up by the alarm. We did get a Lightening Lane for RotR which did work out although in was the middle of the day. Our trip was exhausting getting up so early and then trying to enjoy signature dining. We canceled some dining experiences to have some down time. Three couples: One (DVC) not returning next January as they have the past eight years. Couple two: Exhausted and said they will not return w/o a fast pass type program which they have experienced four times. Couple three: First trip to WDW - EXHAUSTED and not relaxed. None of us enjoyed being married to tech to "enjoy" a relaxing vacation. Another consideration: All in our party do not ride all rides. No need to pay for our whole party when there is no need.

Hi, I just learned that Genie+ only allows you to book 12 at a time - we have 13 (not counting two under 2 who don't have tickets) and I am panicking. How did it go for you with 14?
