Can anyone comment on recent experience using G+ @ EPCOT? Did you find it added value?

I am not commenting from actual experience, but most people do not think it's worth it, and as for me, I hardly see how it can be. MOST of the rides in EPCOT do not have much of a wait. Looking at the rides it comes with...

Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival - show based, usually availability.
Journey Into Imagination With Figment - < 5 minutes
Living with the Land < 10 minutes
Mission: SPACE < 10 minutes
The Seas with Nemo & Friends < 5 minutes
Soarin' Around the World < 20 minutes

Spaceship Earth < 15 minutes
Test Track - Ding, ding, ding - the only ride worth it (but you can just get on this first or last)
Turtle Talk with Crush - show based, usually availability.

We were there in November around Thanksgiving and had bought it in advance for every day of our trip. We thought it was great despite the technology glitches we encountered saved a lot of time waiting in line. We paid the extra fee for Remy. Paid for a few other ILL at the other parks. One heads up though we had a 3:30 pm time for Test Track and it took 30 minutes to get on the ride and then got stuck in the middle of it for 10 minutes.

don’t forget ratatouille

We hopped to Epcot on a Friday a couple weeks ago. Spent rope drop until about 3:00 at MK then went to Epcot. We got Genie+ to utilize mostly for our time at MK. We were able to use it at Epcot too, but it certainly wasn't necessary. Two of our days we started the day at Epcot, hopping to MK in the late afternoon/early evening and went without Genie+ those days and had a great time both days.

When we were there in October, we never considered Genie + for EPCOT. Outside of TT and Frozen, none of the lines were over 30 minutes. Of course Remi was BG at that time, which if anything might now help the other lines.

Remy is ILL, not Genie+
Exactly—if the question is whether ILL is worth it at Epcot I’d say definitely yes as Remy and Frozen are such long waits. Not enough available by G+ to make it worthwhile unless you want to do Test Track can’t rope drop or do it last thing at night. And even then I personally don’t think TT is worth $15 per person.

That’s why I didn’t include it in my original post. It’s not part of Genie+ and the question wasn’t about ILL. I agree ILL is useful for Rat and maybe Frozen if you have kids.

We used it on Day 3 (Tuesday after MLK Day) of a 7 day trip. The kids (8, 6, 4) were tired after the previous full days at MK and HS, so we started late (noon) and basically used it to instantly get on whatever ride was in front of us. It was that point in the trip where a 15 minute wait would have been too much. :confused3 We didn’t do Test Track, nothing available til past the kids bedtimes by the time we got to the park that day (we used our 7:00 am for a 1:00 Soarin’). We did buy ILLs for Remy and Frozen.

It worked out well for us this trip, but would I use it on a solo or adults only trip? Probably not unless we were park hopping from Animal Kingdom in the am and didn’t want to wait for Soarin or Test Track.

THIS!

if you wish to reduce waiting at all, snd arrive at a weekend peak or high season - G+
Otherwise totally doable without, though ILL make sense for both unless you rope drop one at EE.
Evening EMH is also nice if you happen to have deluxe reservation. But TT was still 35 min (and in its current condition I think waiting for it at all is a total waste of time as it has so many glitches and errors I don’t find it nearly as worth it/delightful/fun as it was when in better form)

Sometimes wait times are exaggerated. Late one morning I got in line for Soarin and the posted wait was 50 minutes. 10 minutes later I was assigned a concourse.

Factor in whether this is a first or last trip. If you're planning on going back in the near future then whatever you miss you can catch the next time. If this is a "once in a lifetime" or a "now and not for a long time kind of trip," you might want to consider the splurge of G+ and less time in any and all lines.

No, never even considered using G+ for epcot. Going again in April and I just don't think that there are enough rides to justify the cost. I could see ILL$ purchases but I think G+ at epcot is a total waste of money, at least for us.

Is Soaring really that low of a wait time. I just checked randomly (Wednesday at 4:44pm) and the wait time is 50mins. Now I know WDW is famous for posting longer wait times than actual. But what are others thoughts on Soaring wait time of 10mins.? Also what about Frozen?

In October, I rode Soarin'. It said 20 minutes and my wait was about 5. The second time it said wait was 30 minutes and it was about 10.

Also this earlier experience

I am sure there are outliers who have waited longer as well, but overall most of the experiences I have seen with Soarin' have been under 20 ( I said 20, not 10).

Frozen rolls longer. If you have kids with you, you might want to consider shelling out the cash for frozen, but your mileage may vary.
