Generics Preferred Over Name Brands??

We shop at Kroger and enjoy a lot of their brand products. As the PP mentioned their deluxe ice cream is as good as any that we have found and they have so many different flavors. Another thing that I love is their salad dressing. The italian is wonderful and they have it on sale for $1 often.

Generic OTC meds from Wal-Mart and Target: pain relievers, cold, sinus, allergy meds. Don't think I've ever purchased one that I had any issues with.

Love almost ALL the generics at Market Basket here in MA/NH. Prices and quality is great for their products.

Only brand name I insist on is Pledge for my tables. A can lasts me a year so I paying a bit more doesn't bother me.

I like most Aldi items ~ one of the things I won't buy there again is their version of Cream of Wheat, it tastes like cardboard :scared:.
On the other hand, the Aldi Green Tea with Lemon and Ginseng is by far my favorite tea and I refuse to buy it anywhere else now.

At Kroger there are two things I can think of right away that are great store branded items ~ the Kroger Lite Avocado Ranch dressing...seriously good stuff :lovestruc and their brand of Spanish Rice mix. It is far better than the Knorr/Lipton brand ~ I add some hamburger and tomatoes and it tastes like I've been cooking all day. ;)
