My only issues with Galaxy's Edge were not enough rides and only one mission for Smuggler's Run. You get variety with Star Tours so it makes it a lot of fun to ride again and again. The current variety for Smuggler's Run is to pick different positions on the ship. So that addition of new missions is a great thing. The original plans had two missions but was cut back to just one. The land itself is incredible and is right up there with New Orleans Square and Pandora for fully immersing you in a world where shops and restaurants don't feel out of place. The first time you see the Millenium Falcon is breathtaking and shows you how good Imagineering can be. We give it a half day each time we go to a Disney park.

I'm curious about this new mission--the teaser pics show Cloud City, Endor and Tatooine. Do we visit all 3 in one mission (more lightspeed jumps)? Or do you randomly get one?

Also they said the mission represents something that happens offscreen in the new movie, so maybe none of those places are in the movie. What I really want to see is Grogu's home planet!

No - it is one thing George refused to name, and so far they've kept to that.

(Sheev was revealed after the Disney sale, but I've heard was something George had come up with.)

Soooo while we're waiting for more Star Wars . . . anyone reading the novels/comics? I think the last one I read was Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade, which for some reason I thought was going to be similar to Reva's story, but it really wasn't. Hoping to read Legacy of Vader next.

Unfortunately, I haven't read any of the novels/comics since Resistance Reborn. I used to be really into the novels, but nothing has super appealed to me lately. I miss the big immersive stories that drove the plot forward from the Legends era, but with movies and TV you can't really do that anymore.

I did enjoy a lot of the books that came out before and after The Force Awakens, especially the Aftermath series and the three new Thrawn books. (I haven't read the Ascendancy books yet, but I need to.) I especially liked Bloodline, Phasma, and Resistance Reborn. From the YA books, I loved Leia, Princess of Alderaan and Lost Stars, both by Claudia Gray.

I want to read the new book The Mask of Fear, because more Mon Mothma is never a bad thing, buuuuut current events are making it hard for me to open the book.

Wow, you have read a lot! Phasma was one of my favorites as well--all we really knew about her from the movies was that she had that unique chrome armor, but the novel gives her such a deep and intriguing backstory that after reading it, it feels like a shame we didn't get more of her onscreen! Hey--why don't they make that into a movie? The book was a New York Times bestseller, and they are looking for a guaranteed hit, right?

I know what you mean about them being afraid to write anything that's going to affect the canon, and it is annoying. I kind of got that feeling reading the Allegiance comic, that they were being so careful not to say anything new about Rey that the character was practically unrecognizable, haha. Maybe it's easier for them to write about minor or original characters. I thought Force Collector was a really cute book, and it was on a more personal scale so no chance of messing up the canon.

so... bear with me. What do you think the possibility of Mara Jade making an appearance in the upcoming Mandoverse somewhere?

The release of the lightsaber special set reminded me of the special Asajj set that was released in 2022 and again in 2023 and then she showed up in the Bad Batch in 2024

Unless I missed something in the comic or game world, just seems a bit out of the blue for a Mara Jade special set release... the timeline would fit with where we are with Ahsoka and Mandalorian for her to show up, and didn't she have an association with Thrawn?

I do not trust Dave Filoni with my baby.

Seriously, though - I think they would boil her down to the most basic parts of her character - assassin or smuggler - and remove all the nuances that made so many people love her.

I also don't think there's space for her during this time period. Filoni is obviously creating his own version of the "Heir to the Empire" story with his characters filling the major roles. I can't see him bringing in another character he didn't create, especially since so much time has passed since the Legends reboot.

I suppose there is a better chance than none at all. LucasFilm dumped the Expanded Universe from canon, because as I understood it, the new crack team of storytellers Kathleen Kennedy hired had new ideas to share. Now, the current story writers borrow ideas and/or characters from the Expanded Universe or Legends (or whatever the call it) to tell stories. Recycled is a kind of new, I suppose. But, I cannot reconcile many of the creativity decisions LucasFilm is making with SW.

That's awesome!! Have been hoping they were waiting until Celebration to make some announcements about new animated projects. Bad Batch was so, so surprisingly well done, so hoping for more storytelling like that. And more Visions.

Well, he was at Endor, and it's only about 5 years after that. He'll be old though for sure.

I'm going to enjoy this while we can still get prestige TV Star Wars. It looks so epic and tragic. I love that we got to dive more into what it took to build the Rebellion. Rebels touched on it but this is such an adult version. Please give Tony Gilroy more Star Wars. He's probably done after this but he's such a great screenwriter.

My husband and I have been talking... whenever you see Ezra you often see Hondo, I am really hoping (and kinda expecting) we will see him in the next season of Ahsoka... Ezra My friend

Well, he was at Endor, and it's only about 5 years after that. He'll be old though for sure.

It would be a very Rex thing to have one last mission for Ahsoka....even old as heck, all the more reason
