Nope, but that’s the problem with face characters in the parks.mmmmmm.... I dont think he looks like Luke

Yeah I don’t need the OT human characters at all, wouldn’t complain if they brought C-3PO, R2, Vader around to Galaxy’s Edge more.Right! I mean, what do people want?
"Galaxy's Edge should have been based on the Original Trilogy with all the characters that I love!"
Disney brings in Luke Skywalker.
"He doesn't look a thing like Luke!"
There is no winning here.

Why isn’t there the same issue with Rey though? I mean she has a face too right?
Or are you suggesting no one cares about Rey, so her face doesn’t matter?
Rey has generally been cast pretty well. from what I have personally seen, maybe it also helps she is usually up high so you dont get too closeI've seen a Rey that looked a LOT like her, and I've seen some that only sort-of did. You've got to give it a little leeway. My point is that fan expectations can never be met, no matter what they do. They get grief no matter what! You don't get fans saying, "I'm excited to meet Luke Skywalekr at Disneyland!" but rather you get "He doesn't look like Luke." So, did fans EVER even want Luke at GE? You say, "Yes, of course they did," but they'd only complain about whatever they were given.

I Like the characters that are more alien or masked myself. But to be fair I have said this before and not just about Star Wars, the wigs for the male character actors look kinda dumb, the only one I have ever seen that looks good or close to the real thing is Captain Jack....
I don't know how you would make it work with the queue/pre-show, but a MFSR mission where you are providing cover for the Death Star trench run would be beyond awesome. Again, I have no idea how you would make it work with the queue/pre-show, but having different missions in different eras could be fun.Bring me a Death Star run with MFSR, or just more adventures that tie across the saga.
I am sorry that I annoyed you with my comment that it did not look like Luke... but to be fair BrianL I have said before the character actor showed up that I personally do not want Luke Leia or Han either as recasts or face characters. it is hard to meet expectations and a black robe is not enoughI've seen a Rey that looked a LOT like her, and I've seen some that only sort-of did. It’s kind of the nature of these forums though, this week Disney shared dates for new shows, but complaints that the parade date wasn’t announced. It's not really your comment - it's more the immediate and widespread clapback that you see online whenever they do...well, anything! I just wanna enjoy Star Wars, but people seem determined to at least try to prevent that.
The CM has been cast well when I've seen Rey (a couple of times, years apart). But as I've said previously, I believe there's a huge difference in DL visitor acceptance of later characters vs. Luke, Leia, and Han. Rey and Kylo and Finn are well known, but the first three are iconic, and fans are going to be much more strict in their expectations.I've seen a Rey that looked a LOT like her, and I've seen some that only sort-of did. Indeed, I just found some videos from Luke's appearance at Disneyland yesterday, and sure enough, the comments are very mixed. It's a no-win situation for Disney to bring the OT face characters into the parks.
Hah, sorry for the confusion. I was just trying to name some well known recent characters. Now that you mention it, though, it's odd they haven't had Finn, considering that they've had other characters who aren't as prominent as he is. Although maybe Disney has been pushing characters who are in their TV series. At first I thought you meant DL had Finn walking around and I was like, no fair! We should totally have Finn, Poe, Rose, and BB-8 in Galaxy's Edge. I promise I won't complain that they don't look like the actors.![]()
