General chit chat thread.

No doubt most of you sensible DISers will still be fast asleep, but once again I am waking up a stupid o'clock thinking about my hols. It's been going on for about a week now, and I now tend to wake up around 5.50am :confused3 and I lie in bed till about 6.45am

We haven't got any plans for today at the moment

Have a lovely lie in guys, and have a great day :thumbsup2

Good morning.

I have been waking up early for weeks now, no idea why but once i am awake that's it for me.

I got up at 5.45 and bleached all the kitchen and bathroom and put some washing out. I must be mad!

I have been awake ages too. Although it was a lie in of sorts as I am normally awake at 5.30am but today it was 6.10am! Well it is a Sunday after all.

No plans for today yet, other than tackling more of the mountain that is my ironing pile.

Good Morning everyone

I am going into town today shopping for Bits for the boys birthdays next week and a few holiday bits and pieces

i had a little lie-in ;)

Ive made a coffee and im catching up with the threads, im planning a very lazy day today

I bought a black-out blind for my bedroom last summer - it's made a huge difference. I now wake up about 6:30 instead of 4am!!!

I've got to hit TESCO later, although I'm trying not to buy too much food as I like to switch the fridge freezer off when I go away for more than a week.

I might go to the gym later (did you notice how half-hearted that comment was?!LOL!!)

Morning everyone.

Urgh - i have to go to work today. :( So much to do, and dealing with the worst of it should at least make tomorrow morning a lot easier.

When I'm in on the weekend and I konw htere'll be no phones ringing I always play Disney radio to keep me chirpy!

It sounds like you had a lovely day Victoria. I love your photo of your cat watching the TV :rotfl2:

Congratulations Claire, I'll check you photos out on FB soon :thumbsup2

I was awake then to but then I hadn't been to bed due to working nights.

Congratulations Claire:woohoo:

Hi everyone,
Can I ask a really random question, please? Where do you buy your towels from? I am in desperate need of some new bath towels. I want ones that are nice and soft and wash well! Any ideas?
Thanks!

We have John Lewis ones which are lovely - had them almost a year now and wash and wear very well! :)

Thanks. Might take a trip to John Lewis in Solihull and nip into the Disney Store too.
Haha, smart!

They seemed quite pricey at the time, as they were £28 each for the huge ones, but they are still like new and we use them pretty much daily, so works out good value! (I hate towels that get crisy and scratchy with washing.)

Arrrrrrrgh im so sick of this rain :headache::headache: its raining so heavily here that is running down the road like a river

ENOUGH ALREADY !!!!!

I was going to say Marks & spencers too, also debenhams. It's definately one of those items worth paying a bit more for good quality one's.

I am sick of the rain too Nat. It's been pouring all day here. :headache:

No rain here (small shower early this morning), just very windy.

Good for getting the washing dry though.:thumbsup2

I bought my last towels at Tesco. They're very soft and seem to wash well. Not had them long so I don't know how well they'll wear.

Thanks everyone! I bought my last ones from House of Fraser and they were Christie ones - unfortunately they are really scratchy. I've been on the John Lewis site and they are selling seconds which seemed like a bargain. Do they always sell seconds?
