General chit chat thread.

last weekend i saw a 4D scan of our first grand child & today i heard his heart beating .
4D scan a little scary for me , hearing his heart beat was amazing:woohoo:

Bet that was incredible

My DD finishes school tomorrow, which is good, I love the school holiday and that we can spend lots of time together though I am feeling sad it will be her last day in the infants as she is in year 3 in September.:sad1:

I will no longer be taking her to her classroom in the morning or picking her up from there and can see myself waiting in the play ground for 30minutes waiting for her to come out as she is to busy chatting to her friends:rotfl:

I'm feeling really emotional, Kyra went on her first school trip today. It made me sad, seeing my little girl grow up. She didnt even wave bye to me before she got on the bus :(

I know how that feels, I still feel like that when DD goes on trips(plus I always worry when I am not there with her), I am not looking forward to her asking to go on the overnight trips in the next couple of years

I'm feeling a bit emotional about my DD going into the Juniors in september she still seems to young to me, it does seem that long ago that I posted on here about crying on her first day at school.:sad2:

My 3 kids are all moving up in August. Oldest is going into seconday, middle is moving to junior and youngest is starting school. It is quite scary how quick they are growing up ( and how old I must be getting :rotfl2:)

It will also be quite nice as i will have more of the day to myself. Ebony normally finishes nursery at 11.30 but will be in school until 2.30.

Don't have children yet, just the dog so can only imagine how it feels

For some reason Virgin have put the start date of my Flexticket and WDW pass as the 6th August yet we go on the 4th??? :confused3 I called them and they said that the start date doesn't matter, hope its ok when I get there!! :wizard:

It will be okay I am sure Jen.

Well today I have had the dog out for a walk as I am looking after him whilst my parents look after their grand daughters. I popped in and had a good play with them, they are so funny especially the 1 1/2 year old and what she says.

My oldest son has taken his girlfriend off for a walk in the hills and youngest son has been playing in a golf competition this morning with my hubbie and grandad. He did okay which is good.

Now going to do the dreaded housework before getting some mixed fish to make fish cakes for tea. In all the madness that has happened this week I do keep forgetting that on Monday we are flying to Orlando, seems kind of weird because my attention has not been totally Orlando focussed this week.:goodvibes

Though hubbie has cold which I am praying is not swine flu so may not make it if we are poorly.

Eeek hope he is better soon! :wizard:

Thanks Jen, there has been one thing after another with the lead up to this holiday (definitely need one now). I will be relaxed as soon as I am sitting on that plane or tell a lie once I am passed those Immigration Officers.:rotfl:

I am back from shopping with my mum. I am going to lay on the sofa and rest for an hour before I start the dinner. For the past 3 days the gland on my neck has been swollen & it's really sore at the moment...anyone know if it could be linked to me being stung by a wasp?

I found out today that my sister had to rush my nephew to hospital on Monday with suspected swine flu, he had all the symptoms but they aren't testing anymore. :sad2: There were three other cases in his class.

Hope your Nephew gets better soon Claire.

I'm off to get Kyra in a mo, hope she behaved well on her trip.

Hope your nephew gets better soon.

Sounds like you have an infection Claire, the glands job is to get rid of infections. Don't know if it linked to wasps could be linked to the virus you have had. If it doesn't go down you and see the doctor. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks Bev & Emma. Thankfully he is starting to feel better now.

It just seems a bit of a coincidence that I got stung on the forehead on Tuesday, it was sore but ok after a few hours. Then weds morning when I woke up I had a lump where the wasp stung me & one gland is swollen on my neck.....I just wondered if it could be trying to fight the infection of the wasp sting?

My holiday tickets just came!!:banana::banana:

Just realised that I should be getting some tickets soon, but VH website is saying my tickets haven't been sent yet.

Just one more thing to fret about. It wouldn't be a Disney holiday if I wasn't fretting.

P.S. I'm still helthy but getting an OCD and am not only washing my hands but using sanitizing gel too now!

I spent a fortune in Boots last weekend on hand sanitizer and anti bacterial wipes!!

I am off to snuggle with hubby on the sofa & watch a dvd (Slumdog Millionaire) with popcorn & ice cream. :cloud9:

That sounds nice, my DH is out supervising his Scouts on their canoing course (he's supervising from the bank, they've got a real instructor).

DS is at his part time job at the cinema much harder this week due to the number of kids watching Harry Potter. I'm still torn between seeing it next week or waiting to see it at DTD (some nice air conditioning on a July afternoon.)

:thumbsup2 me too and I think they have put the prices up to make the most of our paranoia.

My passporter arrived today, having fun looking through it.

I just booked our holiday for next year. We're staying at the beach club for 2 weeks with free DDP. The kids are going to be soooooo excited for stormalong bay.

Wooh hooh! That sounds fantastic! Were hoping to disneymoon at the Beach Club next year...the only problem is we would like to stay in all the other deluxes too :lmao:

Ooooh, great news!!! I'd love to stay there!! :)

We have such a scary thunderstorm here. Normally they don't bother me, but this one just feels really ominous for some reason!

In other news im burning my candied apple tart from the DIS exchange and it is LUSH!

Ive just watched Se7en ! i love morgan freeman he's a terrific actor and this and shawshank redemption are the best films he has starred in imo

What are your fave films and why ?

My absolute favourite film is Anchorman.

I think Will Ferrell is hilarious, and I just find that film in particular hilariously funny no matter when, where or how often I watch it!

When we watch it now, we start laughing before the funny bit happens.
