Wendy ~ Have a great holiday, I can't wait to see your pics

Claire ~ That's great, I love the on-line ADR system too :thumbsup2

Afternoon everyone

having an awful day, Ebony is soooo grumpy today with the chicken pox, all she is doing is screaming and shouting that her back is itchy. Nothing I do for her is helping it at all and she is just getting herself more wound up.

On a plus side Liam's spots are scabbing over and he seems to be over the worst.

I saw that on FB !! i nearly offered to swop you for my 6 kids :rotfl2:

Awww, poor ebony - I remember being like that - my mum used to put me in a cool bath which I can remember helping a little bit. You've probably tried it, but it's the only thing I can think of.

I think I spent like 5 hours a day in the bath when I had it!

Also, magicool have a new itch helping spray they just brought out - might be worth a look - but i'd check it's ok on spots, as it's meant for itchy skin from the sun.

I dont think Next existed when I graduated :rotfl: I got my graduation dress from Laura Ashley
I did too, it wasn't floral though but did have puffy sleeves :rotfl2:

No I am just a golf widow!
My hubbie is too and he's a PGA pro :rotfl2:

Well the Yankee Night was a sucess last night, apart from when there was a big bang and we all looked up and there was a huge crack in the suspended ceiling, something had fallen off the concrete roof above and smashed through!
Yikes, glad you were all OK

Having a mixed day. DS13 has finished school for us to go away tomorrow and DS16 has had a letter saying the free newspaper he delivers is packing up next week and have given him a week's notice that he's lost his little job. He's not bothered, he didn't really want it from September (he's getting EMA and thinks he's going to be raking it in £20 per week!) but I feel rather upset about him losing his 1st job.:confused3
I'm so sorry about your DS's job but have a fantastic holiday :wave2:

I was just doing my daily check on the online adr system.....as you do! :teeth: and I only managed to bag myself an adr for dinner at Ohana!!!!! I have been trying to get it every day since my 90 day window opened with no luck until now!!!
Wooohoooo fantastic :thumbsup2

Poor little things, hope they heal quick!

We're off out tonight to the Chinese to celebrate 14 years of marriage, it's then DD's 13th Birthday tomorrow, we didn't hang around :rotfl2:

If you lived closer I would take you up on that offer :rotfl2::rotfl2:.
This is the 3rd week of illnesses and I'm going demented. Kieran, oldest ds, has been out all day, think he is just trying to keep out of the way :rotfl::rotfl:

You've probably tried this, but I've been told that Piriton can work wonders with the itching. You can get liquid Piriton for little ones. Hope it clears up soon.

I got some great Disney news today. My head teacher will allow me to take two weeks off work in October!:yay:I want to go to WDW in October 2012 but we only get 1 week off for half term. As I'm a job-share, he will allow me to work a full week before October half term and my job-share partner will work a full week after half term. I can start planning properly now.;)

Thats great Joolz - my friend used to do that every year at May half term (not to WDW though)

Oh no, more kids at school have fallen victim to flu. It's not been confirmed as swine flu as tests are no longer being done, but from the symptoms we're assuming it is. One boy has been on the Tamiflu drugs. I'm now wondering if I've got time to catch it and pass it on to my family and all of us recover before WDW in 12 days.

But I'm really trying to avoid it. My hands are sore (think new mum) from the contant washing.

I'm drinking orange juice by the gallon, but I don't know if vitimin c helps with flu or just with colds.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I really hope you don't get it. I have just found out that a girl in my class is off with swine flu and her mum works at the school too! They didn't actually tell anyone. That seems irresponsible to me as I'm sure there are some people (like asthmatics) who would need to be particularly cautious. I wish they would hurry up and vaccinate people. I can't believe we are so ill-prepared, it's not like it's come as a surprise!

The thing is that it's not really proving to be any worse than normal flu so I can see why things have been relaxed a bit. I'm not worried about catching it per se but it's the timing. We are insured but if we cancel we probably won't be able to rechedule the holiday for at least a year - and not in the same format as DS should be off to university in September so who knows what he'll want to do next summer.

I do think it's totally irrisponsible not to inform the school that the girl has swine flu. As you say, a lot of vulnerable people will be able to be more cautious if they know.

I agree, it's a nasty strain of flu and the media has hyped it up. Any flu is dangerous for vulnerable people, hence the flu jab. I would be so worried if we had wdw booked and paid for. :scared1: You will just have to keep using that anti-bac handwash and avoid going outdoors for a while.;)

I think I'm safer outdoors than inside the school - I can't even avoid the year group that's got most cases as I work lunchtimes as well as being a TA.

You'll have to get a face mask and keep the kids at arm's length.:rotfl:
