Its freezing here and really wet and windy. Just thinking the heating might have to go on. I'm already in jeans and fleece but I'm still cold.

Morning all!

Once again I feel like I didn't get enough sleep. Sophie, Matty and I took Samuel out to dinner last night. We had pre-booked the restaurant so, whether exam commiserations or congratulations were in order, we were prepared... Richard didn't join us - he was flying back from Poland and not due home until around 11am. Unfortunately traffic on the M25 meant he didn't get in until midnight and I stayed up to meet him... He then wanted to relax and chat for a while before going to bed - well, you can see why I'm tired!!!

Anyway, fingers crossed I look more rested than I feel as I'm off later to have passport photos taken!!! And that is one of my most hated things... Once I've got those, I'm taking the passport forms up to town so a new one can be issued later on this afternoon - and that will be job done...

I'm having one of those days today. I feel really miserable & tense, can't be bothered to do anything. I want to clean the kitchen from top to bottom but can't be bothered.

I also need to pop to the post office but that means getting dressed.

Claire - any news on your car, hun???

I got the claim form yesterday & posted back so hopefully they will get it this morning then someone will ring me to discuss. More painful than having your teeth pulled out.

Glad you had a lovely meal to celebrate....with Richard being missing it gives another excuse to go out & celebrate it again.

I renewed my passport a few months ago & the photo looked horrendous so i've got 10 years of looking at that.

It's definitely no joke!!! When we lived in Paris, I lost my passport somehow and the British Embassy there issued me a new one which was just for a year. Anyway, the pic I had taken was just HIDEOUS!!! I looked like Myra Hindley's evil twin!!! I'm not even exaggerating!!! And every time a customs official in any country looked at it, they visibly flinched!!!

That was a l-o-n-g year... I noticed recently that someone (I'm thinking Richard ) had found it amongst a pile of paperwork and scanned the offending photo so if I get a chance I'll post it - that is sure to cheer you up!!!

Here it is - don't let small children and animals near the screen!!!

I have some really bad photos through the years but thankfully our scanner is broke so I can't post them.

Your probably right, I do feel in limbo & I always stress myself out before our trips & get so worked out about everything.....also the time of the month not helping!

Love your photo Sadly I think we've all had one of those. A few years ago we had Universal annual passes and the guy took my photo while I was mid-laugh, I looked stupid, and Paul kindly kept it and brings it out every holiday

I was wearing dangly earings when I had my photo for my driving licence taken. They look OK in the photo but now the picture has been reduced to fit onto the licence they look like 2 bolts sticking out of my neck.

So I'm back from the passport office - all went smoothly and I just have to pop back at around 7pm to collect my new one!!! Looks like I shall be going to the ball after all...

The photos aren't great but they're not hideous either so they'll do...

Definitely! It's virtually opposite Victoria Station which is a 20 minute train journey from my local station...

I've collected it now - it's a bit weird having my bigger-faced photo mooning back at me but I'm just so relieved to have gotten it sorted that I'm chilling with a big glass of red wine... Cheers!!!
