Nice! I’m glad you had a fun time!Enchanted Rose! The Gingerbread Martini was the best of the night!
Was messaging with a family member for our February trip recently... they wanted to go to 1900 park fare, and mentioned they planned on ordering a cocktail...
I said... skip the cocktail there, and go to Enchanted Rose before dinner...
I know some old-timers decry the lack of the orchestra, and I agree it is appalling...
but Enchanted Rose, in terms of the quality of the drinks is an exceptional place to grab a drink on property!
Also would love to see the return of a men's clothiers... the only good spot for men's clothes shopping now is at the Swan/Dolphin!
Did anyone ask what is happening with the BBB space at VGF? I know that it isn't part of DVC, but nevertheless, wondering if it came up!
I agree. I’ll make an effort to get to these in the future. For me these condo meetings were presented perfectly. Each resort having its own hour. Where else will you get recognition by the general manager of your Home Resort!!
The board has an actual personality in person. Sure budget & our so called member rep just rubber stamps & approves the budget. Recommend going to this next year. It was very educational. They were all so polite. Coffee was great.
I have a problem with this. They raised points to cover their own mistake. It's not our fault they classified some rooms as theme park knowing as soon as they built it they would have subpar views.I was at the Poly meeting and specifically asked about the point readjustment. According to the Board, the adjustment for 2027 IS designed to accommodate the reassignment of rooms in the island tower out of the theme park view category. Points reduced from those rooms resulted in increased points for others in order to keep the net effect at zero.
This is why it’s recommended to buy 110% of the points you think you will need…..I have a problem with this. They raised points to cover their own mistake. It's not our fault they classified some rooms as theme park knowing as soon as they built it they would have subpar views.
Did anyone ask about the parking situation now that Wailulu is taking reservations?I was at the Poly meeting and specifically asked about the point readjustment. I also inquired whether care was being taken to resolve any issues with individuals holding theme park view reservations in 2026. The answer involved a statement of no guarantee of view ( Note: For me, unlike resort view, a theme park view is not ambiguous. You look straight out your window and see the theme park. No neck twisting or yoga moves required. Full stop.), but with further inquiry, the Board stated that each general manager at every resort is authorized by the board to return points to the member’s account in the event of issues on a case by case basis.
I hope this helps!
Sure for point allocation for seasons. Not for the company misclassifying rooms to be able to sell more points. This is why it’s recommended to buy 110% of the points you think you will need…..
We are talking about an extra 1-2 points a night, right?Sure for point allocation for seasons. Not for the company misclassifying rooms to be able to sell more points.
Just because it's 1-2 points a night makes it ok? This was an issue DVC had to know about before selling points. You can stand on the grounds and notice that you can only see the tip top of the Cinderella Castle spire from the 1st floor rooms. What's the cons for DVC in this situation? The con for us is higher priced rooms in 1-2 seasons. We are talking about an extra 1-2 points a night, right?
I think this ends up like a BW “Village Greens” situation where some people get a “partial theme park view” for a “preferred view” price and the reclassified rooms become highly requested…..
Well… this one is going to fall into the “nothing you can do about it” category….Just because it's 1-2 points a night makes it ok? This was an issue DVC had to know about before selling points.
