Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Thanks for that link- I just finished watching Wishes

I am so glad you got to it. It was nice to be back on that beach. :)

Thanks for the link. I needed some Poly time tonight. I wished I had a Mai Tai instead of my Diet Coke with Lime but the boat whistles, EWP and Wishes more than made up for it.

The sound of boat whistles can really take you back there very quickly. Glad you enjoyed it.

Such an idyllic interlude with Brooklyn and Kay. This is the good stuff. And you are doubly blessed to be able to enjoy it not only for the moment itself, but also for the memory you were making.

I love your pics of the gulls. The monochromatic scheme is so soothing. If you ever do a beach room, you should include some of these.

If I can get some good, clear gull pictures, I could put one down in my OKW den.

Thanks for sharing the live feed link with us! I enjoyed it!

I watched Wishes tonight and it was so fun!

I was picturing myself right there at my favorite place!

I completely agree...the tropical/ beach theme resorts are absolutely the best at Disney!

I would love to stay at any of them...and someday I will!

LOVE the pics of Poly you shared today!

Just gorgeous!!!

I can't imagine a better way to spend some time than sitting on the beach on a lovely day.

I'm deffinitely in for some Poly shopping!!!

Unfortunately, today is a work day. They're really splashing all into our nice summer vacation this year, but this is a swap day for October, so I am willing to do it to be able to go to WDW in the fall.

We want to stay in every resort, too. We're chipping away at it slowly, but steadily.

I hope your day goes fast!!

I'll FB message you my phone # but we'll plan on the 6:20 time if I don't hear otherwise. :)

I'm at work today but I have Pandora playing a Disney station so it's good. :)

We're so close to our trips!!

It's not really a link, try copying and pasting it in your browser window. It worked for me doing that. I'd love to be sitting on that beach right now....

Yeah that's what I did, but it said the webcam was no longer available and took me to the website homepage. :confused3 I feel like I have been left out of the party!

EDITED: Ok now for some reason it is working... but of course, it is now "off air"!:upsidedow

Congratulations on making it to another summer! Let the fun begin! I know you all are looking forward to your trip. I hope it doesn't get much hotter than it is now. It is SO hot already.

It looks like you guys had a lovely time at the Poly. I agree that there is something really special about sitting on the beach looking out over the Seven Seas Lagoon to the Castle.

The Poly is one of my favorite resorts, and I have been lucky enough to stay there once, but I am still hoping for a return trip sometime in the future.

Thanks for posting the webcam link, I'm going to be watching tonight hoping to catch Wishes!

Disney music in the background is always a good thing. :goodvibes

Yeah, we'll exchange numbers. After we eat, I think we may walk over to Grand Floridian to take pictures before we camp out on the beach. I guess it depends on how we are doing on our time.

I hope you will enjoy it tonight. Last night, they had the camera out on the beach. Maybe they will do that again before they leave.

Boy, it was burning up hot in the car this afternoon! Jill says this is getting us ready for the trip.

I enjoy visiting there so much that I can only imagine how I would feel if I actually belonged there for a couple of nights!

Jill called when we were on the beach and said she was ready to meet back up in a little while. We went over by the pool to spray the sand off of our feet and headed inside.

I like the stone benches and the floors in this resort.

We browsed for a few minutes in Trader Jack's.

Cute lil fellas.

Poor Donald always has such a rough life.

A good clear picture of this will someday make my Disney water feature collage.

Then we went through Bou-tiki.

This might be a good frame to get to put a picture of the girls in when we eat at 'Ohana on the 4th.

I think some our DIS friends crave these things.

I momentarily considered getting a towel to add to our collection, but I didn't.

Time to get on the monorail.
Brooklynn is looking a little tired.

That's it for now. See you all on the Poly beach tonight as we gather around our computers. :cool2:

And don't forget the HGTV Disney Yards show that starts tonight, too. :thumbsup2

I always bring my mom a box of these back... I think they last her about 3 months :goodvibes especially since no one else in the family likes coconut!

I'll be there on the beach tonight! :thumbsup2 I am going to re-arrange furniture tonight in my living room & have that on while I do it.

I like them, because I like coconut, but I'm too cheap to buy too many. I might get an individual pack of them every 2-3 trips.

I just checked in on it, and it's saying off air, so I don't know if we'll get to see anything tonight. :sad1:

Now it's on. I think it was my 'puter.

I love BouTiki, it always seems especially happy and festive in that store! (Admittedly, I also love that store because of its proximity to the Macadamia Nut Pineapple pancakes...)

Hi everyone: I wanted to give an update on Baby O. This is from his grandpa:

There's actually little news today, which is good! Dad came home last night and spent the night, saw some friends, got some things from the house and returned this morning. As of yesterday O had his first poop, a few days after his first wee. All to the good. He is able to spend some time out of the ventilator, breathing on his own. He seems to cycle through several hours of good, then an "event" in which they have to intervene, but that is why we are grateful for a terrific NICU (neonatal ICU) and the staff is reassuring that they have things under control. Mom was discharged from the hospital Saturday but they got a low-cost room, partially funded by WalMart, in a wing of the hospital. Kinda like Ronald McDonalds except handier. Mom got to hold O for a few seconds while they were getting ready to change him. So it's still challenging emotionally for Mom and Dad but the trendline seems to be up. We are totally in One-Day-At-A-Time mode. Thanks for everyone's concerns and prayers!

Okay, I think I am finally caught up on the ten pages I missed while I was gone! I skimmed quickly, though.

I am glad no one noticed my two misbehaving. I did tell my mom that I felt better knowing everyone had children or dealt with children there.

It was about Macon that they started picking on each other on the way down. Overall, they got along pretty well except when Chelsea told Connor his sand castle moat looked bad. :headache: I guess for a week away that was pretty good. Although, Chelsea -- the one who kept insisting she wanted a relaxing beach vacation -- was the one who every day was like, "What are we doing? When are we doing it? What's for lunch? What's for dinner? What are we doing next?" She couldn't seem to grasp we were on island time and doing whatever we wanted whenever we felt like it. My mom said it was because I had trained her to think in touring plans. :rotfl:

Hurray for being done with school although I feel so bad about your student, MeMom. :(

Not too much longer until your next trip, right?

Getting all caught up! Love the parade pictures. I just love a Disney parade! :thumbsup2

Aww, I too would love to stay at the Poly one day. It looks like Brooklyn had a great afternoon on the beach!

I have never been in the gift shops at the Poly! :scared1: I know...
I love that Lilo and Stitch picture frame. It may have to make its way back to Ohio in a few weeks. :thumbsup2

Ooo, we are getting so close!!! :)

:cool1:......love the shopping picks....:cool1:..... I feel a real need to go to POLY right this instant!!!

Mmmmn! I like cocconut...will have to try those. Cute packaging. :thumbsup2

Great towel with the Mickey & Donald tiki's on it!

Lexi was laughing at me the other night at how excitted I was at watching the web cam.
She didn't get it...glad there was several of us watching together. :goodvibes

I tell her how many days we have til we go every morning and she says it's still so long away.
We are very close to double digits!!!
I'm going to have to plan something fun for Saturday night to celebrate the 100 day mark. :mickeyjum

I just relalized I didn't change my ticker...we are leaving on the 19th now! Whoot! Whoot!

Welcome back CharlestonPrincess....I hope to hear all about it.
A beach vacay is very different from a Disney one.... funny comment about the touring plans. :rotfl:

I have to admit when I go to the beach, I am the same way as Chelsea.
I can't just sit there all day.
I mix in a little shopping, sight seeing, swimming and eating.
Kinda like a touring plan without the waiting in lines and having to be at a certain place at a certain time.

Good news! I will continue to pray for the little one. :grouphug:

The Poly pictures were wonderful. The best of two worlds, the beach and with a view of MK.

Once again I loved all the shopping pictures.

We sure hope that happens. Maybe you can travel through Nashville sometime. They're rebuilding Opry Mills, so we could have a Hippo Meet! :dance3:

Sounds good to me, except I have to ask one thing...Are you calling me a hippo? :confused3 :rotfl:

Sometimes you simply need to stop and put your toes in the sand.:cloud9:

DH and I ate at O'Hana in April and we just adore the Poly. Everything about it says relaxation to us. I hope you are able to stay there one day MeMom!

I am lurking...:magnify::magnify::wave::wave::tiptoe: :tiptoe: :tiptoe::tiptoe::tiptoe:
not saying much but I am here enjoying the trip report!

::MickeyMo::MinnieMo:tinker: Bitten by the I-wanna-ticker bug :scared: Know what I mean? :confused3
