Our kiddies are growing up, aren't they? When you guys get down here in the south, you can come to some of our meets, right?

I will be out driving soon! We're headed to Chris' cousin's house shortly for cake for his birthday!

When Chris and I move down South, you can bet on it that we'll be at as many DIS meets as possible

It was so nice to see everyone yesterday! Some of you I had already met (and was very happy to see again) and it was awesome to meet Elaine, Anita, Marc and Baylor. Oh, and Conner. I hadn't met him when I met Jackie that time last year. Anyway, glad we could all get together. I hope we can do it again! Sorry I had to leave before the group pictures were taken. I knew Seth was fading fast and needed a nap and a bottle, plus we had to go by Babies R Us for a few things, so I had to get on the road.

Those pictures of Ringgold break my heart. I can't tell you how many times I've stopped at that exit going to/coming from Nashville to get gas or grab something to eat. To think of what was lost there makes me really appreciate how lucky we were when those storms went around us.

Dawn- I love your hair! Did you get some highlights? It looks great!

I laugh because I think it's starting to look all dingy! I have an appointment to get it cut and re-highlighted the first week of June. I got it highlighted back in early April but my hair grows pretty fast so it's looking kinda ghetto right now. But thanks for the compliment!

Love the Disney store pics and the DIS meet pics. I hope those items are on sale next weekend too... they might be making the trip home with me from Mall of America. Those plates would be a big hit as we count down to our trip!

I got a set of the Mickey plates.
I really wanted two sets and the silverware, but I controlled myself.

I admit, I was there 2 weeks ago and I bought a set of plates, the big Mickey serving bowl and the silverware. I am thinking of going back and getting more plates because they are just so cute!

It doesn't seem like Katie likes to have a bunch of DIS meets when she's down there, which is fine, because it does take up precious Disney time, but if you talk to her, you might tell her how many awesome people are down there right now or will be in the next few days. There may be some she might want to cross paths with. She's probably at the POFQ pool right now, according to FB. What a nice thought!

I think it's mostly that she doesn't really "know" a lot of the DIS'ers, so she feels shy about meeting up with them. I know Miss Anita Wigd is down there now, and Jen will be soon, too, but who else? I'll definitely mention it to her when I talk to her next. They leave on Thursday, I think.

Right now, I think she and Patrick are at Epcot for Illuminations. They were at DTD earlier. You might have seen this on FB, but she sent me a picture from EoS (I'm not exactly sure how or when we got into it, but we send each other pictures of food to make the other jealous, especially if it's something that isn't readily available to the other ) They might go to MK tonight, too, but it won't be a late night for them because they're opening AK tomorrow, which will definitely be a nice thought!

I wish we had thought about a group picture before you and Elaine (the not your mom Elaine) left. I really hadn't planned on one, though - just one of the kids - but then Anita and Jackie wanted one together and it snowballed. They weren't going to be satisfied until I got in one.

Ringgold was a mess. We stopped a few exits down where everything was normal. Just a few miles made a huge difference. Same thing with Jill's area. Her house could easily be in shreds.

Since the plates are plain with no design, they'll be able to used with many different themes. I think they were a good purchase.

I'm glad you will finally get to meet one of those little rats in October.

Brooklynn doesn't know about that trip yet, since it's a long way off and we still have the summer trip and many other activities between then and now. Jill doesn't want her driving her crazy asking if this is the day every day for five months. Anita was talking to her and said, "We're going to be in Disney World with you..." and I said kind of quickly, "She doesn't know about that yet." Anita added in a split second, "...someday!"

The Dis meet pictures were great and brought back fun memories. I was able to stay away from the Mickey plates, but could not resist the t-shirts. I left with the blue Mickey shirt and the red Minnie shirt. The gym clips were so cute but for that price, I decided I could wait for a sale. If I still had papers to grade I may not have resisted. They would have made grading papers a little more fun.

I have not been able to check out the interactive Disney store yet, so I looking forward to your pictures and your review.

I wanted to read your recent posts, about your meet, and of course just finished reading the sad news about the DISer and her husband. SO sad to hear that. AND of course to see those photos, really hard to imagine all that destruction.

I am glad to hear the end of your year is near, ours too. Just three weeks before we head down to Florida for our vacation. I am sure you are getting excited as well.

I really hope to be able to cross paths with several DIS'ers, especially you guys, since I've been reading your reports for so long and definitely feel like I know you. We're going after New Years in January so we will just be missing you guys then!

I do hate that we will be missing you in January. Maybe some DIS people - the ones who don't have to get back to school - will still be there when you arrive. And don't forget that any time you ever drive through Nashville, we can always meet at a restaurant or at the park. The travelers can get a food and stretch break, and we're always up for meeting new and old DIS friends.

I have told you before, it thrills us that you and Katie, Dawn and Erica, Kristen and tinkgurl, and Jill and Pat became good friends through our reports.

I looked at the red, white, and blue t-shirts and thought for a second about getting one. I still have my Mickey WDW Fourth shirt from a couple of years ago, though, so I'll probably be sporting that again on the Poly beach.

As sad as it is to see the devastation, it is a good reminder for all of us to treasure the people and appreciate the things in our lives even more than we already do.

Yes ma'am, we are getting pumped for our trip! Jill and I talked about some of the places we're going to eat as we were driving back from Atlanta the other day. We talked about next summer's trip and trying out the Art of Animation Suites. We're both going to be starting our Disney piles in the next few weeks.

I think we pretty much have people who be on vacation for the entire five weeks we are waiting out, so that really helps us have fun as we wait. We have friends down there now posting FB pictures, and new ones will trickle in as they leave. By the time they finish, it'll be our turn to share the joy with others.

Since Atlanta has three Disney Stores and Nashville has zero, we decided to hit up one more while we had the chance. We went to the new and improved interactive one.

Brooklynn enjoyed playing in the castle and getting a little magical attention from the CM there.

I had not seen Ursula like this before.

I got these guys, as I think I am going to use Nemo as my theme for next year's bulletin board.

I didn't take many pictures, because I was mostly watching Bella so Jill could shop.

That was it. Jill asked about going to the 3rd store, but I didn't think they would have anything any different than the other two did, and we'll be at the real deal in a few weeks. We got on the road, and the girls were asleep in no time. The whole Atlanta trip day was very nice.

Thanks for posting those pictures from the DIS meet! It's always so much fun seeing everyone and hanging out for awhile!

You wouldn't know it from the pictures, but my two were the worst behaved.

Chelsea decided to have that tone of voice with me during lunch which prompted me to have lean over and whisper in her ear. Then, Chelsea and Connor kept at each other which included shoving the table back and forth! Afterwards when I said something in the car, Chelsea said, "But I was super polite to everyone else." Sigh. I was only half-kidding when I asked Anita if there was room for me in the backseat of their car.

We'll see if they can be nice to each other on our beach trip. Supposedly they made a pact last night to get along. Anyone want to take bets on how long THAT lasts??? I am placing my money on Macon.

The thing is, we brought their sack home so they wouldn't have to travel with it, since they are coming back through here on their way home.

Soooo, I could swap out Anita's Disney goodies for a few bricks, tie the sack shut, and she'd never know until she got back to Kansas.

Chances are good that there won't be a spare inch left in their car on the way home to fit them in She might have to leave them behind by default! I saw the picture on face book and it looked like it was packed! Add on all the purchases they might (will) make in Orlando and on board the ship and they'll either need to rent another car to bring them home or strap poor Baylor on the roof
