Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Great DisMeet! (I loved the pic Anita posted with a Hidden Memom!)

We have those plates too (and the server with three spots). I almost bought the silverware too but I behaved (my purchase wasn't on sale.)

We only went on Astro Orbitor once. I wonder if there is a good view of the new Fantasyland from it? I will have to check it out in Aug.

Jackie, my girls are at each other hour after hour. Then, other times they are the best of friends. Kids:sad2: Like Memom said, other parents should understand. I feel for those with one child, they have no idea

Adorable videos of the girls singing!

Great pictures of the DIS meet! The kids are getting so big!

I enjoyed the singing videos! So cute!

The interactive Disney Store looks like so much fun. I'd probably have to drag the kids out of it....more so than I already do. ;)

I got out the photo album of WDW pictures today and let Owen really look at them. He loved the monorail because it is like a train.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Ours was good but busy, Hannah's birthday party on Saturday and then we went to the zoo yesterday. Today was a resting/play outside day. Only 8 more days of school....can't get here fast enough!

One of the kids in my mom's classroom a while back always had to have a camel on Old McDonald's farm

I love the pictures from Buzz. For a while, when she was younger, that was one of the ONLY things Kailyn would ride. That, and TTA. I tend to get reallyyyy competitive on rides like Buzz...especially when I am against my dad or Kailyn!

Glad you could check in, Scott. I see you more on FB than here, so I don't even realize that you aren't around here much anymore
.
I am on there all the time. Luckily alot of people post their pics there so I check them out there. I enjoy reading your trips so will always be here.

The zebra Minnie ears are adorable. Yes I am really far behind. LOL

Easter looked like a good time. You couldn’t write cookies on it for me, I would definitely open the package. LOL

Love Finding Nemo The Musical. Saw it last year for the first time. Will do again in October.

That was so nice what you sent to Glenda.

Never had a zebra dome. Perhaps in October.

I am loving all the pics of you. :O)

The storm pics are scary. What is a Piggly Wiggly?

Ooh loved the Star Wars stuff. Cannot wait for this weekend.

Fun meet you had.

All caught up. If you're home this weekend see what time the Star Wars parade is I have an app on my phone and will try to broadcast it. If I can.

Oh Memom!! Those girls got that Zurk in prison picture down pat don't they!! Brooklynn is frowning and Bella has her head hung down LOL!! I cracked up when I saw it cuz they looked like remorseful, yet cute, galactic criminals!! LOL!!

LOL as one of the posters said avoiding a Minnie wardrobe malfunction LOL!!! That's awesome!!!!

I too have never ridden the Astro Orbiter and with it being that high up in the sky and a twirling ride to boot I doubt I ever will, that's going to be a ride for Phillip to take our future kiddos on, I'll stick to POTC, HM, and Jungle Cruise anything that spins NO THANKS LOL!

So is this officially your last week of school? Today is my last day and I'm there for only half of it! I get to leave at 11:30am to pick up my luggage and scoot to the airport!!!!

Hope you, Jill, and the rest of your gang have an amazing week!!

The new interactive stores look great - I remember seeing some pics of the NY store over on Brook's report and ours in London has just been made over so I'm hoping to get there this weekend. Assuming we do I'll be back on Sunday trying to figure out how to post some pictures :) Although I think I'll have to ignore the strange looks I get when I have my camera out - we won't have the girls with us so I can't even pretend I'm taking pictures of them :rotfl:

What is that guy in the back doing????:rotfl2:

Almost looks like he is preventing/fixing a wardrobe malfunction.

I've noticed this before and wondered if maybe Mickey and Minnie have to be strapped on to comply with some health and safety rules?

Wow, what a great dismeet you had! It looks like everyone had a nice time.

I have never been to an interactive Disney store. It looks like lots of fun. Makes me sort of wish we would be heading through Atlanta during the day and not at night.

Love the videos of Bella and Brooklyn. They both are just precious.

I have never ridden Astro Oribter. May have to give it a try this trip. Love the girls in the "prison" picture. Too cute.

Hi all!

What a fun meet!

We went to the Disney store at the Mall of America - it was great!! I got the pitcher & silverware and a Minnie dress for Ms Caroline for her birthday. :)

MeMom....they have Mickey 4th of July shirts at Old Navy! I got one for me & my sister. They are gray with a flag in Mickey ears. I think they were $14.95.

The Atlanta DIS meet looked like fun! We were in Atlanta the weekend before touring the Art Institute with my daughter so I couldn't make the trip two weekends in a row. :sad1: One day I will make it to another DIS meet!

What is that guy in the back doing????:rotfl2:

Almost looks like he is preventing/fixing a wardrobe malfunction.

I do believe he's connecting Mickey and Minnie to the safety harnesses b/c that platform rises up at the end of the show. Disney is a magical place but even THE main mouse isn't immune to ugly falls during a show. :rotfl:

Looked like a great meet. I'd be one of the ones to get Chick-fil-a. Maybe one day in passing I'll be able to participate in a Georgia meet.;)

MeMom, your sneaky plan to get more plates made me chuckle.:rotfl:

I agree, Anita and Marc can make anyone feel like family :grouphug:

The 2nd Disney store looked extra fun. I hope they make more interactive stores.

4 month dance for Dawn:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Seeing the princesses dance with their princes make me smile as well.:lovestruc

Poolrat, :rotfl: He may be hooking her up to something so she doesn't fall.

What is a Piggly Wiggly?

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Sorry! This just cracked me up! Having lived in the South my whole life, sometimes I don't even think about how things sound to people from other parts of the country. Reading this question made me hear that name in my head with fresh ears and realize that it is just hilarious... something I can honestly say has never crossed my mind before in all the times I have passed by one!

I'm glad you got the plates too!

I expect to see them in pics sometime in the future...showcasing some good ol' southern Memom eats!

Maybe they will make there debut at Brooklynn's birthday....

I won't tell Wig'd but she may read it on here....

I saw that Disney put out a room discout but it ends early October.
...that your discount offer is next.

I imagine those plates will make appearances at many meals.

I figure Wigd is a little too busy shopping right now to be reading this report. She sent a bag picture today for whoever was looking for the 40th bag, and after all the bag pictures last night, I wrote back 'Go RIDE something!'

I hope free dining for mid-October is in the next batch of releases. If not, we'll just have to budget for food, but if we get free dining, it sure will help.

are the black mickey plates on disney online only for 1 plate not like the 4 in your set?

They look a little thinner, the ones in the set are super thick. And yes, it's for one.

The colored ones were heavier than I thought. I expected the lightweight melamine, but they are thick.

Glad to see someone else thinks it's sweet, too. I like Minnie. She's one of my favorite characters.

What is that guy in the back doing????

Almost looks like he is preventing/fixing a wardrobe malfunction.

I think he might have been hooking them up, but I'm not certain.

Thanks! Now I'm gonna have to find a Disney Store

Well, there's certainly no need to look in Nashville.
We don't have one!
:headache:

:sad1:

I don't think I'm ever gonna get over this. :snooty:

The DISmeet sounded and looked like a fun time. One of these days I'd like to join in on one with you all. Bella and Brooklynn were so cute in their videos. Loved seeing the pictures of Buzz Lightyear. That's another favorite of ours.

We sure hope that happens. Maybe you can travel through Nashville sometime. They're rebuilding Opry Mills, so we could have a Hippo Meet! :dance3:

Great DisMeet! (I loved the pic Anita posted with a Hidden Memom!)

Adorable videos of the girls singing!

They weren't going to stop whining until I got in the picture.

Maybe I'll make it to Astro Orbiter in July, and I can show you the view. Don't hold me to that, though.

Great pictures of the DIS meet! The kids are getting so big!

Was the pool a birthday present for Hannah?

I bet Owen would like all the new Cars 2 stuff they have out.

One of the kids in my mom's classroom a while back always had to have a camel on Old McDonald's farm

Every farm needs a camel, right? :thumbsup2
Bactrian or Dromedary? :rolleyes1

I saw Katie's FB post. Patrick better be bringing out that ring soon! :goodvibes

A Piggly Wiggly is a grocery store.

You need to try a zebra dome! If our paths were going to cross, that's where we could meet - at AKL for a zebra dome. What are your October dates?

Brooklynn and I love the Nemo Musical.

You have a grand time, Scott! Let us know the details about seeing the parade!

Oh Memom!! Those girls got that Zurk in prison picture down pat don't they!! Brooklynn is frowning and Bella has her head hung down LOL!! I cracked up when I saw it cuz they looked like remorseful, yet cute, galactic criminals!! LOL!!

It won't be as amazing as yours. You are there now!

Get Baylor to take you on Astro Orbiter! :thumbsup2

It doesn't matter if people look at you weird. They'll never see you again. :goodvibes

I've noticed this before and wondered if maybe Mickey and Minnie have to be strapped on to comply with some health and safety rules?

Probably. A lot of the characters are chained on the parade floats, too. It could have been a wardrobe thing, too. I really can't say. We can all pay more attention next time we see the show and see what happens.

Wow, what a great dismeet you had! It looks like everyone had a nice time.

I have never ridden Astro Oribter. May have to give it a try this trip. Love the girls in the "prison" picture. Too cute.

It won't be long before our cars are heading south!

I have watched those videos several times, and I smile every time. :)

I'll tell Jill. She's an Old Navy shopper. I'll probably either wear the old one or get an authentic WDW one. Or maybe I'll just wear a solid red, white, or blue shirt.

I bet the Minnie dress will be a big hit!

The Atlanta DIS meet looked like fun! We were in Atlanta the weekend before touring the Art Institute with my daughter so I couldn't make the trip two weekends in a row. One day I will make it to another DIS meet!

We sure hope you can!

Poolrat, He may be hooking her up to something so she doesn't fall.

I guess we are all a bunch of softies for the Disney couples, huh?

She'll be all the way to Kansas before she figures out about those dishes. ::yes::

Hopefully they can manage to see Ed during their trip, although I know part of their weekends will not be spent in WDW.

You laughed at the man and then didn't even tell him what it was!!! :upsidedow

I've noticed this before and wondered if maybe Mickey and Minnie have to be strapped on to comply with some health and safety rules?

Ahhhh yes if the part of the stage they are standing on moves they will have to be "clipped in" or harnessed. In a still picture it just looks funny that he has his hands up around Minnie's back. :lmao:

I am sure he is in and outta there quick and you probably never notice during the show. :confused3

I'm the one who takes pictures the whole time and has a 00000 across my screen on those rides. ;)

I was cracking up when I saw that post! Patrick is a nice and very quiet guy so I am sure he was loving all that attention lavished on him! :rotfl:

I'll tell Jill. She's an Old Navy shopper. I'll probably either wear the old one or get an authentic WDW one. Or maybe I'll just wear a solid red, white, or blue shirt.

I need to find these shirts! I'm actually going out after with tomorrow with Kailyn and a friend from work, and our friend actually specifically requested that we make a stop at Old Navy.

Definitely hooking or unhooking her from the pole on the platform.

Going to try and get by there this week. However, $15 is a lot to spend on one t-shirt so I will have to see.

Looks like you all had another wonderful DISmeet. I did go to mapquest and figure out how far we were from Atlanta to see if I could make it. Sadly, 8 hours was a little too much for lunch. Maybe next time!

The videos of the girls singing were adorable. There is not much cuter than a preschool concert!

Yeah, they have that stuff down to a science!

Hope you find just the shirt you want. :) Old Navy has good sales. I used to shop there for the kids, but I rarely go any more, since they buy their own clothes now.

Definitely hooking or unhooking her from the pole on the platform.

Going to try and get by there this week. However, $15 is a lot to spend on one t-shirt so I will have to see.

But I'll spend twice that for an official Disney World t-shirt and not think much about it. :sad2:

Yes, eight hours was a bit far. Our four hours worked out nicely. The girls slept a good part of both ways, and when they were awake, we made our stop for food and put in a movie. It was pretty much the perfect trip. Jill said she hopes things go as well on July 1. :thumbsup2

*******************************************

Today is the last day with students. :dance3:
We did a lot of cleaning yesterday, and I gave away old books and posters and things that I need to refresh. The kids always love going home with a bagful of papers and stickers and assorted treasures. I bet the parents hate it!

The kids leave at lunchtime. Teachers have another day and a half of closing out. I'm in a good place with that - ahead of my usual schedule, actually. :thumbsup2

I am sad about one of my kids that had to be taken into state custody. He needs some intense help. He was placed on Friday. He was brought to school Monday, and the school was told by the foster mother that she would not be back to get him. Human Services apparently didn't tell her about his issues, and she had a rough weekend. He went to a new placement last night. It's such a sad situation. He didn't have a chance at a good life from the minute he was born, unfortunately. I hope and pray that the people who are in charge of him can get him the best medications and therapy possible to give him a decent life. It's just heartbreaking that kids have to suffer the consequences of parents' problems. He is a smart kid, and even with no support at home he could hold his own academically. With the right things in place in a good home environment and stable people in his life, I know he can do well. He has worn me out all year, I admit, so I know what the family that had him for the weekend went through, but there has got to be something better for him out there somewhere. This has really weighed heavily on me. He was a handed a really bad deal, and now he has a long, rough road of life ahead of him because of it. It does my heart good to see all of our DIS kids being raised in competent, loving, happy, and fun homes. Keep up the great work, moms and dads, because you truly are affecting the future in the way you deal with them.

I am enjoying all of the FB pictures and comments from our friends that are scattered throughout Disney World this week. Brook did meet her 4 Park goal. This would be a fun time to be down there. Many of you are headed that way soon. :cool1:

Make it a great day! :woohoo:

Happy last day MeMom!! Love the feeling of the last day when the kids walk out the door and the whole summer is in front of you! We're still trudging along here...

That's so sad about your student. We had several cases like that in the school I taught at before. Poor kids.:sad2: I do hope they find the right placement for hiim.
