Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Great update MeMom! TOT is my FAV ride of all time. EE is second.

Glad your kitchen is coming together. I know how stressful it is to have everything out of place.

And Jill....I love Kohl's. The closest one to us is an hour away. But, I love to go there. That is the one thing I like about school uniforms. No fight everyday about what they will wear. Plus with girls they can't wear the same thing more than once a week. With boys Jeans and Tee shirts are easy. I wish our school had a uniform code.

Great update! And thanks for that video! It was nice to ride ToT before work! :cloud9: Looks like the skywriter was out while you were at DHS too! I love spotting those! And I love that Kay had to curl her eyelashes!:rotfl:

Wow that ToT video is the closest I'll ever get to riding it!

I hear ya about the non-commitment part. I serially dated one non-committed guy after another when I was younger. :headache:

I finally learned my lesson!

But don't give up yet Memom...he may come around :yay:

Cute video of Bella!! Such a cutie :goodvibes I adore No White!! :thumbsup2

Wow! Kay's eyelashes look fabulous!! Behind. The. Sunglasses.:laughing:

Thanks for the quick video of TOT :thumbsup2 Always one of my favorites :)
Do you know what they are doing to the outside of it? Just "freshening up" the exterior maybe? :confused3

Forgot to add that I LOVE the Mickey dressed up as Pluto with little Pluto slippers!! That will definitely be coming home with me! My two favorite characters all in one!! :lovestruc

And by cute, you mean:

:rotfl:

I know I should have learned a while ago not to drink and DIS...that is hilarious! :lmao:

Ahhhh ToT, that is definitely one of my very favorite WDW rides. It is for sure my favorite queue to walk through. Kailyn leaves in a few weeks and she is hoping to get her friend on EE and ToT. He works in my mom's class for a couple of hours after school and when my mom asked him if he was going on EE, he looked horrified and said, "that's a SCARY ride!" I'm pretty sure he said the same about ToT. :rotfl: Kailyn is getting super excited to go and she can now send pictures from her phone (that's a long story) and can also use Facebook on her phone, so I am going to try to post any pictures here for you, too. They are staying offsite and not getting park hoppers, and we've always stayed onsite and had park hoppers, so I think it will be a little bit different for her, but she's really, really excited. I'm excited for little Disney fixes every day!

Kay's eyelashes look fabulous! ;)

I don't remember those McDonald's glasses myself, but Charles has a few. He always makes sure I get to use one whenever I go over there.

If I had girls the uniforms would be awsome. The boys just wear jeans and t-shirts. I love it.

I love that picture of the girls waiting outside the toy store for Kay! They all look so beautiful and happy! :goodvibes

ToT may very well be my favorite ride in WDW too...it's a tough call :thumbsup2 :confused3

Target. The men's section.

The Wild Child outfits and Big Sister Little Sister ones came from Kohls. I shop there and Target. I understand the difficulty of finding age appropriate clothes. Brooklynn is 4 and wears a size 6 (somethings a 7) and the styles of those sizes tend to look very mature. Luckily she isn't really into the fashion part yet so she doesn't care what we get as long as it fits right. Her school she starts in August requires uniforms beginning in 1st grade so I am hoping that will alleviate a little bit of stress because everyone will look the same and I won't have to worry about "cool" clothes.

Kohl's! I should have known! I love Kohl's! The only problems is that we don't have one here! :scared1: I have to drive an hour to get to the nearest one. It's worth it though.

You are very lucky that Brooklyn's school is opting for uniforms. I wish my DD's school would do that. They have a strict dress code like no spaghetti straps or short skirts/shorts, so that helps, but still the overall look of some of the clothes is beyond my tolerance level.

The video of Bella is so cute!

Great update! Hannah loved your shopping pictures! She really liked the "Tails" animals. I'm guessing they are the size of the Littlest Pet shop animals? Hannah had tons of those, I seem to find them everywhere in our house. I think the multiply on their own.

I'm trying to talk Hannah into going on Tower of Terror this trip because she is big enough. She's not too sure yet....

Have a great weekend!

They were cute. I thought about getting the girls each one, but they don't need any more stuff, so I didn't.

Jill asks Brooklynn to please try each ride one time, and then if she doesn't like it, she doesn't have to go again. We'll always offer for her to ride, like at ToT this time, but if she says no, no big deal. She'll do it again someday.

You can almost see Kay's eyelashes in your ride picture from Tower of Terror!

I will tell her you liked them next time I talk to her.

I know that I say it everytime I go, but I really need to take the time to shop. Seeing your pictures makes me realize how much I miss in the shops. I am too busy running around trying to cram everything in.

I watched the video of ToT. I told the boys I would ride it with them next time. None of us have ever ridden it and I am scared. I have a fear of heights and my palms were sweating watching the video. I got talked into riding EE last time and I loved it. So I am hoping that I survive ToT with a smile on my face. 67 days until we go.

It's better to shop alone. You can take your time and really see things. I do my best merchandise shopping when the girls are taking their naps.

If you can do Everest, you can do ToT. ::yes:: All we ask is that you try it once. :thumbsup2

I have the measuring spoons. I waited to the last minute to buy souvenirs to see how much money I had left on my Disney Rewards card and the gift shop at CBR did not have the measuring cups. I guess I will need to make another trip to Disney to get the cups. I was able to find a cute spoon rest from the Chief Mickey collection. It is just the Mickey head not the hand one.

I was thinking it was you who had some, too. I don't measure much when I cook, because I'm more of a 'dash of this' type cook, but I will enjoy using my Mickey gadgets when I do.

Another trip 4th of July week would be good. :rolleyes1

Oh my gosh MeMom, when I ride ToT I am holding on for dear life, and there you are - taking pictures

And laughing, usually.
I love that ride. :goodvibes

As micandminforever reported these glasses were sold by McDonald for the 2000 celebration. There was one for each park

The tops which can cause spills if you don't drink from the corners.

Thanks for sharing the Disney nostalgia glassware. I remembered another reason I didn't buy them, besides no money - they were glass! I went to plastic with my kids early on.

Soarin' is still my #1 ride.

I have a Kohl's within a short walking distance of my house. I don't shop much, period, but I go in there every once in a while to look around. They do have good deals.

Is Ty feeling better?

Well, she is a very fashionable, lady, as you can note by the socks and Crocs. :rotfl:

Ride it with me sometime - please! It's so much fun! :yay:

I hope my sons will have families while I am around to enjoy them.

You would crack up at Kay. She is hilarious and usually doesn't mean to be.

Maybe just painting ToT? I'm not sure, really.

I thought that Mickey was cute, as was the Minnie dressed up in Marie Kitty clothes.

I know I should have learned a while ago not to drink and DIS...that is hilarious!

You will have so much fun getting pictures and texts from Kailyn, and you will be so jealous, too. ;)

I love having the ability to hop, but I'm okay with not hopping, too, to save money.

If I had girls the uniforms would be awsome. The boys just wear jeans and t-shirts. I love it.

Our public schools wear uniforms now, because there were so many gang related tourbles and stealing of certain items. We provide uniforms for low income families, too, so everyone comes in looking pretty much the same.

I've been getting texts from Anita and Trent today.
They were all hanging out at Stormalong Bay. :beach:
I was going into Walgreens and Home Depot. :drive:

Now Trent and Tanya are at Animal Kingdom Lodge eating African Stew and then going to see the animals.
I am looking at paint cans that need to be put up.

I am trying to be nice to him, though :flower3:, because after they eat and see animals, they're going into Ziwadi to check the price of a Lodge picture I want. :woohoo: If it's not too much, I'll have it soon, and I'll definitely fix that AKL bathroom. :thumbsup2

Kay and I would get along well. ToT is my fav ride too (just over 6 months!!!!!!) and I wear eye makeup under sunglasses.

Do you remember what the sky said that day? I saw some "sky writing" for a second during the video.

I will probably purchase a ToT coffee mug next trip. I like 'em.

Oh my gosh MeMom, when I ride ToT I am holding on for dear life, and there you are - taking pictures :scared1:

I am always holding on for dear life also.:rotfl: I just said to DH that since he does not hang on he can video tape our next ride on it since we just bought a new Kodak playsport video recorder.

I think I may get a ToT T-shirt this trip.

Hope you get the print you want for your bathroom.

Chiming in at long last. I have tagged along on a couple of MeMom family adventures now, soaking up the Disney love.
Well I knew I finally had to pipe up when I got a Disney pin code in the mail and the first thing I thought was that I had to share the news with you! I was so excited about free dining in the summer. For about five minutes. Until I realized that we couldn't use it. Rats. But here's hoping that someone else will get pixie-dusted with this great deal. pixiedust:

They were cute calling out her name. As she approached, she was saying, "I hear ya. I hear ya. I was looking for a traffic light in the middle of the street. Where's the traffic light? I don't see a traffic light. Oh, there it is!" I had told her to walk down the right side of the street and look for an old-fashioned traffic light. We were on the porch of the store just past that.

I'll trade you a Kohl's for a Disney Store. We have plenty of those, but we have to drive 3 hours to get to a Disney Store.

I saw the skywriting, too, but I don't remember exactly what the message of the day was.

Closer and closer you get to that super-magical trip. :)

Trent sent me pictures from AKL of Tanya eating African Stew and of the flamingos. Then he called me from Ziwadi and described my choices in prints - looking at the Lodge from outside, looking out onto the savannah, the inside of the lobby, and out on the safari at AK. I told them to choose between the first two and surprise me. I went ahead and got the shower curtain, so I'll put it up today. I'll get to see my print on Saturday. :yay:

Tower of Terror is such fun. I enjoy hearing the other 'passengers' and how they react, whether they are laughing or screaming or both.

That has to hurt! Too bad pin codes can't be used for any dates or for sharing with others.

We're certainly glad you consider all the people around here your friends. We love sharing in your good news. :)

A little more shopping, although I don't remember which shop they were from.

I bet Kay's eyelashes looked beautiful! :rotfl:

TOT and me will never be friends...:scared1:

Glad you decided to go ahead with the AK bathroom!
The print will be perfect in there! ::yes::

I have to have those adorable Minnie & Mickey in pyjamas...they are so cute!
The Mickey and Pluto one must be new , I've never seen him before.
Adding that 40th bag to my ever growing list of 40th merchandise I want including that awesome snowglobe! :woohoo:

Poolrat thanks for sharing the pics of those cups.
I'd love to have them!
Lexi was born in 2000 so they would be so cool to have! :thumbsup2

I wish we had a Khols, Target, Disney Store...the list could go on and on...

If my grandmother wore t-shirts I'd be sure to get her this one. My dad used to call her and my grandfather (his in-laws) over the hill and she would say to him, "Well, it's better than the alternative." So true!

So glad you're getting your AK bathroom!! I am so jealous. My bathroom is lighthouses in the spring & summer & just boring brown & tan in the winter.

Love all the Muppet things. My DH has the Old..Better than Dead T Shirt. Muppets is his favorite thing at DHS.

Kay sounds like a hoot!

Loved the tour through DHS shops. So many things and so little funds.

While looking for those glasses I found the 25th anniversary and the 100 years glasses.

They were also put up because they were glass and I was afraid they would break.

I moved things around and brought them lower in the cabinet but I think I want to keep them "new" looking so I will use them sparingly. :)

Sadly, the mother of "that girl" is having to postpone her foray onto the elevator. :( She will be busy removing sand from hard to reach places.

Notice I used the word postpone -- I am already plotting -- it's a sickness, I tell you!

Happy Sunday friends!:goodvibes Another very busy and stressful school week followed by championship swim meet yesterday has kept me away from the DIS. I'm glad to get some time here this morning!
IMG_0788.jpg

Thanks for this picture! Ellie has decided to collect these. I hate that you can't see in the box but love this 2011 one!

IMG_0805.jpg

I have been meaning to ask, and keep forgetting, but this picture reminded me. I have this Minnie dress in a size 7/8. Ellie wore it two times. Jill-would you like it? I'd be glad to send it your way!!
