This has been one long week. It is friday evening isn't it? Please tell me it is.

I love the pictures in your siggy!!

Let me check the calendar.......... yep, it's Friday evening. I have so little to do that I lose track of time. :rotfl: Glad your getting to relax now!

Thanks for the compliment! I love pictures and now that I know how to change them out, I'll probably do it alot.

Hi all. I'm still at work. I really hate when this happens. I'll have to work tomorrow too but I'm afraid if I don't work late tonight, I'll not finish tomorrow either.

Hi Smiley, glad to see ya check in? What's happened to the rest of the gang?

Hey all! I worked til 9 p.m. last night and I'll be working on Sunday as well, and possibly Monday night. I hate to work, but it is optional and I do love the money, especially with WDW a little over 2 months away. ;)

I, too, have had enough of this awful, humid, raining, cloudy, depressing, nasty summer. I'd much prefer the heat (minus the humidity, of course).

I'll happily trade, problem is we do have the humidity, makes it feel 5-10 degrees hotter.

Sorry you have to work, but extra money is always nice.

My mom is up your way (by your way I mean New Jersey). I'm sure she's enjoying the change in weather.

I'm trying to remain optimistic and remember that this will be perfect training for my trip to WDW 8/30-9/6.

Hope your mom enjoys her trip while she's in the lovely Garden State. Too bad she'll probably be cooped up somewhere due to the weather. :scared:

My mom doesn't let anything keep her cooped up. She used to spot tornadoes when I was a kid. She'd be out in her little Nissan Sentra with the dog and her ham radio.

She's from New Jersey, New Brunswick to be exact. She's up now visiting relatives and most importantly, releasing my grandparents' ashes. My uncle was going to do it, but he fell ill and passed last May. My mom is the only kid left, so she's taking them home.

Are you all ready for your trip? How often do you go?

Wow Kerri, I'm sorry about your grandparents and uncle. Must be rough on your mom, but she sounds like a tough old broad (that's a term of respect in Jersey) ;) and she obviously has a great daughter to help her through.

I get to Disney as often as I can, which, as you can see by my siggie has been a few times. I'd love to go more but it's just too expensive, so I've taken advantage of free dining this year and last. Maybe we'll squeeze in one more trip next year for DD's 8th grade graduation, but then that will be it for quite some time. This is the only vacation we take, so I try to go and spend quality time with her before she's too old and doesn't want to spend time with her mom anymore. At least I've taught her well -- she seems to be just as much of a WDW fanatic as I am. :cool2:

I'm apparently not that observant. :rotfl: I noticed your ticker. In fact, I've seen one like it on other threads, so I'll look at the avi. If its not Grumpy, I know its not you. Of course, I could just read the name, but like I said, not that observant. :rotfl: I like the pretty pictures. :rotfl:

In the past I've actually seen 1 or 2 other posters with my Grumpy and I'll start reading what they wrote and say to myself "Hey, what the heck? I didn't write that?" :rotfl: BTW, I didn't mean to imply you weren't observant, but I couldn't think of a good way to say kind of/sort of frequently. :lmao: Our trips were when DD was 3, 10, almost 12, almost 13 and now almost 14. :upsidedow

It looks like all you no-lifers have gone and gotten lives without me. I'm still sitting here in Texas, roasting.

Pakey, I'm now incredibly curious about ToT in Paris.

Hey....

I had my first day back at work today and Im cream crackered.

Gonnae sit ma bahookie on the couch and....DO NOTHIN !!

No life, just working some overtime.

Scotlass, I'm sure your first week back will kick your bahookie good. It's tough getting back in a routine. Too bad you're not in the U.S. We have a 3 day weekend coming up for Independence Day.

Kerri, sounds like you've got quite a life running with the wee little lad and lasses to all their camp groups! I was reading your thread and can't believe how you keep track of everyone. ;)

So where is everyone else? I know Pakey said should was going to work on Saturday, but what happened to the whole crew? We can't give up now with only 43 pages to go before we can start a new "No Life" thread -- Part II! Come on everyone -- tell us of your benign, boring existence.

Sorry you had a rough day. My DH had surgery in Nov, went back to work in Jan, and still had to take it easy for another 8 weeks at work. It sure can take a toll on your body. His doc had a great way of explaining how much weight you can lift, at first only a 6-pack, then up to a 12 pack, after that ease up to a 24 pack. Beer references are a great way to explain things to a man. :rotfl: Anyways, take it easy, Scotlass.

Morning all. Trust me I didn't go and get a life, I've just been mad busy at work.

Scotlass, hopefully you'll get your bahookie re-energized soon. I did chemo and radiation 2 years ago, was off work for the better part of a year and I'm still not back up to speed. I'm trying not to work more than 50 hours a week which is a far cry from the 80-100 hour weeks I did before I got the big C.

Kerrie, how's the temp doing in Texas? We've had 3 straight days at 108. Last night at 11pm on the news, they said it was still 101 outside. And to think July-Aug-Sep are our hottest months.

On ToT in Disneyland Paris, I took a picture at the same time when the doors opened and they took the picture of us. So they were waiting for me when the ride stopped and I got lectured first in French and then in English for having that camera out, even though I had it on a wrist strap connected to my wrist. They weren't upset about the pictures, they were upset that the camera could have flown off my wrist and hurt someone. Of course I had to buy the ToT picture to remember my rabble-rousing day at DLRP!

Texas weather is a little better today. A cold front came thru last night, we might even get rain. We were outside when it came through talking with the neighbor and he jumped and looked up. He thought a bird pooped on him, but it was actually a drop of rain. I think we may have gotten 10-15 drops. Pretty pathetic, really. :lmao: 30% chance today, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my toes. The temp for today and tomorrow should stay in the 90s which is almost chilly compared to how its been. By Thur, we're back to the 100s. This is more like August weather, not June.

Pakey, it sounds like you deserve to take things easier, maybe a little easier than 50 hrs a week. Of course, I can't say much. My DH works between 50-60 hrs a week, too, and really needs to take it a little easier.

Scotlass, I hope things are going well back at work.

PrincessK'smom, right now it's still easy keeping track of everyone. 2 of them can't do anything. And I have no-life!! What else am I going to do, but stay as involved in their lives as I can. I should be pretty annoying once they're teenagers!!!

Oh, and Pakey, I'll have to remember the camera the next time on ToT!!

Good afternoon everyone! I've been pretty much sitting on my bahookie getting absolutely nothing done :sad2:

Hi, Snappy!!! I'm currently sitting on my bahookie. I'm currently cooking lunch for the kids. I already cleaned the kludgies. After lunch, I'll probably mop. The floors are kinda sticky. How they got sticky...:confused3 Kids, I don't know how they do what they do, but their messes drive me doolally.

Kerrie, I see in your signature that ya'll are going to the World in 11 months and 5 days. Is that in May (yes, I'm an accountant, don't ask me to actually figure out something with numbers). We are going in May, but it's the first week of May. When is 11 months, 5 days?

I wish I was going sooner.... (like scotlass and PksMom).

Judi, hope you are back with us soon. It won't be hunk day without ya tomorrow.

We'll be pulling out of the driveway, headed to FL, on June 3, 2010, the day the kids get out of school. We HAVE to be there for Star Wars weekends. The kids were very upset that we didn't go this year. I'd love to go sooner, but its just not in the cards for us this year. It's been a rough year.

Scotlass and PK'smom will just have to have enough fun for all of us and be sure to share some pics. And, yes, I am expecting some bahookie pics!!

Judi, we miss you!
