Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

PK, so glad to hear that Bill has decided to stay swimming in the ocean and not come visiting ya'll.

Isn't it amazing how fast the kids grow up? I can remember one of my biggest "mom moments" was when the youngest one ordered an alcoholic beverage in front of me and I was stupified as to what happened to all of the time. I was sure it was a mistake; he couldn't possibly be old enough to drink.

I hope you get your puter cleaned up enough to avoid buying a new one. But GP is a computer expert so he will def be able to give you some pointers.

Next step is to try to compare all the photos saved on my computer to what's on shutterfly, then delete the pics from my computer. Shutterfly has a great option where you can purchase full sized jpegs of your photos on CD (or was it DVD?) -- up to 1000 images only $20. That's why I'm comfortable with deleting pics from my hard drive. Then I'm going to uninstall Adobe Photoshop Elements, since I never use it. That's taking up a lot of space. I just figured if I had to spend a lot for an external hard drive, maybe I was better off buying a new computer. Don't need the speakers, screen, etc., just the CPU. Apparently with ITunes you can purchase a song once and share it on 3 or 4 ipods. Well I never figured out how to do that, so was purchasing the same song 2x, once for me and once for DD. Ugggh, that was definitely a waste of money.

Sorry, but it is VERY easy to replace a HDD on a desktop, or add a second one. I don't know why they are saying that. PM me.

I just typed out a PM and sent it. However, I am unable to access my PM Inbox or Sent Items, so who knows if it actually went out or not. Anyway, I'm going to be logged off (it's 1 a.m. here), so if you don't receive it, I'll just retype tomorrow. Thanks again for offering your assistance/advice.

Good night (or good morning ;)) everyone!

Silly pirate: cause they want to sell a new one.

Good Monday Morning :wave2:

Gee Whiz, still no life here.

Well, I'm just about in full panic mode now, thanks to Tropical Storm (with a high probability of becoming Hurricane) Danny now. We're set to fly to WDW on Sunday morning and it's not looking good. All I can think of is delays, being stuck on the tarmac for, oh I don't know, 6-7 hours without working bathrooms, food or water, major turbulence with my mom and daughter screaming and crying... I'm a 0-120 mph kindda girl and I'm at about 100 mph now. Please, dear no-lifers, reassure me, calm me, LIE to me if you must. :rotfl:

I'm so sorry I didn't see this sooner! Have a great trip - EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3::dance3:

you should be okay, and if you get stuck there, added magic!

WooHooooooo!

the worst that can happen is that if you don't peg your fun meter this trip, you can always plan another one!

PK, if your plane doesn't take off, just let me know. I'll swing by on my broom (my family swears I have one) and fly ya'll down myself.

Things are definitely looking better. There is a second tropical storm brewing out there that looks like it could be pretty intense, and it's further south than the last two. Here's my wish list:

1. No storms for take off/flying/landing to MCO.
2. No storms/rain out of MNSSHP on 9/4 (our first).
3. No storms for take off/flying/landing to EWR on 9/6.

Other than that, I don't really care. If I have to sit out a hurricane in Florida fine, I'll deal with it. Just throw on my rain poncho and off we go!

A few years ago we were stuck in Orlando for an extra two days due to a huge snowstorm here in the Northeast. I didn't mind. There are a million worse places to be stuck than Orlando and from what I hear, Orlando is well insulated inland from the worst of the storms.

Might have a few soggy bahookies, but I'll do the best I can. :cool1:

As for my computer, still cleaning out old pics but have new issues -- unable to sign onto the internet. Have already run through things with AOL, the issue seems to be my modem. Cablevision is coming today to see if they can figure out the problem, since AOL and Internet Explorer are both indicating it's a modem issue. Hopefully they will be able to fix that this afternoon before I get home. If not, then today is indeed farewell before the official start of

BAHOOKIE BASH '09

:banana::cool1:

Haven't forgotten about your and your little ones Kerrie. Your info is in my cell and I'll be sending the postcard just as soon as I can. If anyone else needs one, please let me know before 5 p.m. today, just in case I don't have internet access at home.

Lastly, thank you kind internet friends for your advice and good thoughts for my obsessive weather watching. :flower3:

Sorry, I haven't been around to reply.

:banana: Two dancing bananas for PK's two days.

I don't blame you for not wanting to fly in a hurricane. With all the kids, we don't fly, we drive. On the trip home (when we only had 2 kids and a suprise about 5 weeks along), we ended up in a storm. DH wanted to drive straight through, but around 11pm, the weather was getting too bad. We stopped at a hotel and barely got the kids in before a massive downpour. We turned on the tv, and there was a tornado in the area. I'm glad DH decided to stop! Power went out and still wasn't restored everywhere in the morning.

Have a great trip!

Pakey, could you make a fly by above our house sometime in October? I think the kids would love it. (especially :stir:)

Oh Kerrie, pot stirrer and I could have a blast getting into trouble and flying around together.

And GP, I don't remember anything in the rule about quoting where it said you had to bold and enhance original post by resizing 10 times bigger than original.

sad, the memory is the second thing to go!

hehehehehehhehehee

Hi all! Guess what, I got a new modem and they had to run a new cable from the phone pole outside to the house. He said the cable was seriously deteriorated and my modem was shot. :thumbsup2 Then he told my mom I had better clean off my hard drive 'cause it's almost full. :lmao: Uh, yeah, I know. ;)

Have a great trip, PK!!!

Scotlass, my two oldest now say bahookie. :rotfl2:

Thanks Kerrie!

Doing the less than one day dance! :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

And yet I'm a little depressed. The sooner it gets here, the sooner it's over, KWIM? Since they extended the Wishes Dessert Party, we signed up for that last night, so something else new to do on this trip! Maybe someday we could have a DIS meet in the MK with all of us no lifers!

Live in the moment, don't worry about the "I have to go home now." Stay focused on your Bahookie goals!

A no-life DIS meet, sounds fun! Maybe I could talk DH into the two of us going without the little monsters, er, uh, I mean, our precious children.
