Geataway Today Ticket Questions

So we were going to get our parkhoppers from Getaway Today. Do they mail you actual tickets or just a printout to get your tickets? If it is a printout do you get to go strait to the gate like Disney dot com or do you have to go to the ticket booth first? Thank you!!!

2 options....

You call GAT or go online to the GAT website and purchase your tickets. Either way they ask you for your email addie. Give it to them and once your tickets are purchased, GAT sends you a confirmation email saying that you purchased tickets from them. GAT gives you electronic tickets which means you do not get your actual passes from Disneyland until you have arrived at the park.

So the email that GAT sends you in your email, you print that, take it to the park ticket booths with your ID and the credit card you paid for it with, and they give you paper park passes right then and there.

GAT not only sends you an email with a confirmation you can print out to take with you, but they also send you a 2nd confirmation that comes like 2-3 weeks later in the post home mail.

It doesnt matter which confirmation you take with you, you just need one. This is a great feature because you can purchase these tickets at that really great price the same day you head to the park and you dont need to wait for that confirmation to come in the mail. So either the email confirmation or the post mail one will work just fine. The best part about the post mail one though is that it comes with lanyards and some disney pins.

Yeah no worries, no worries, its all good. Besides Getawaytoday says that if you have a problem at the DL ticket booths, that Disneyland will give them a call for you and they will set things straight as they have duplicate copies of the transaction on their end for your purchase. You will get your ticket without a hassle. I prefer to call up and speak to someone personally when ordering. That way I can get a name as to who I am dealing with.

Can we pick up the tickets the day before entering the park?

Yeah I dont see why not. You have to pick them up at the park though. They expire 14 days after first use, so you should be all set. They dont become activated until you go to the ticket booth, get the tickets and then go to the main gates where they swipe you in for a day of fun in the parks.

You can pick them up the day before if you want. I wish I had known this our first trip - it would have saved a lot of time waiting at the ticket booth our first morning when we wanted to be in the parks.

Whenever we go, we always pick up our GAT hopper passes the evening before our first day in the parks. Saves so much time in the morning. There are no lineups at the ticket booth in the evening. All they asked from me was a piece of ID to claim your passes. The ticket booth CM never asked me for the credit card that I used to purchase or my confirmation/receipt from GAT. You should bring them, should you be asked to produce them, but I was never asked to show them. They have you in the "system", I guess, once your purchase is made.

Just purchased the tickets. Now everything is completely paid for except our meals! I am getting REALLY EXCITED!!

I have also read on these boards that you can pick up your tickets during check-in if you are staying at one of the DL resort hotels.

This is what I am going to try to do in November with DS's ticket since the rest of us have AP's.
