GCH Standard or Disneyland Hotel Pool/Resort View?

whoever said:
GCH. It just gets it done.

This doesn't even make sense. Any hotel "gets it done". Heck, for one night, sleeping in your car gets it done. LOL

Lol....and two thumbs up! That made for a good giggle man! And so very true too.
I know from experience, so believe me. :faint:

Booked in to the Disneyland Hotel, arriving Wednesday (woot!).

I've asked for an Adventure Tower room facing Downtown Disney if possible, mostly for the view, but what do people think about the possible noise issue at night from the music/etc at DTD?

I'm wondering this too. At first I wanted a DTD view in the Adventure Tower, but since we will be there September 8-11th, we will not see any fireworks. Therefore, I'm wondering if I should opt for the pool view, or request the Fantasy tower Pool view. I've heard that the characters roam around in the Fantasy Tower, and my kids would love that! Anyone else confirm?

We've stayed there (Adventure Tower room facing Downtown Disney) the last 3 times that we've stayed at the DLH and really haven't noticed much noise at all. The view of the fireworks was awesome.

Thats a shame .... they are sight to behold.

We were at the Disneyland Hotel last week and had a very nice room with views of both the pools as well as parts of Downtown Disney and Disneyland from our room in the Frontier Tower. We were not in a corner room either, but center of the tower. The room was on the 11th floor and it was spectacular. I am pretty sure we could have seen the fireworks from the room, being that high, but we were always out at the parks in the evenings. The room was very large, larger then the rooms I remember in the Fantasy tower and it had a day bed too.

I'm a DLH girl and usually would choose that over the Grand. We have only stayed at the Grand once and it is indeed a beautiful Hotel. I don't think the walk is that much different between the two hotels so I don't factor that into my choice and most of my reason for preferring the DLH is because the room size works best for our family. Now if I were going alone.............IDK. You will have a magical time however you decide......:cheer2:

We just got back from a 7-night stay at DLH. We loved it!

I had a difficult time deciding between DLH and Grand Californian, and I was happy with my choice. While the lobby of the Grand Californian is beautiful, we really loved our DLH rooms, the pool, and the overall Disney feel. We stayed in the adventure tower, and I loved hearing the Adventureland music in the lobby.

We also enjoyed utilizing the monorail to travel back and forth for breaks during the day and the close proximity to Earl of Sandwich...yum!

I would choose DLH again in a heartbeat.
