I have read many descriptions of the 1 bedroom suite at the GCH but would love to hear back from someone who has stayed in one of these rooms. I am interested how your family fit in the suite and over all experience.

We stayed in an Artisan 1-bedroom suite last year. It was on the 5th floor and had one balcony.
We loved it and it made the vacation so wonderful. pixiedust:

The main room had a pull-out sleeper couch, two additional chairs, coffee table, wet bar area and small fridge. The bedroom had a king size bed with a comfy chair and foot rest. We had one bathroom with two sinks.

Hope that helps. Have fun with the planning.:dance3:

We have stayed in them a couple of times. They are nice, especially since they put the new tvs in them, but we find that for our taste,we like the suites at the DLH more. They are larger and many of them have an additional half bath. Either way, having a suite is always better so that you can spread out a little more. For us, having a seperate living room is great because then we can put the baby to sleep and hang with our four year old.

We stayed in the Artisan suite once, a one bedroom with two queen beds. My two teens argued over who got the queen bed (husband & I in the other...no privacy!) and who had to sleep on the fold out sofa sleeper. The balcony over-looking California Adventure was great, but having only one bathroom was lousy.
The next year, we did a one bedroom at the Disneyland Hotel and were much happier with the extra bathroom and nicer "kitchen" area. Plus, we had two huge balconies at the Disneyland Hotel!

You might want to consider interconnecting rooms. These are generally less expensive and of course you have two bathrooms. Everyone gets their own bed, there is no need for sofa beds etc. Of course, you don't have 'living area' as such, but we've found that no real disadvantage. If you have kids, it works better, because inevitably their sleeping space is the living area anyway (unless you're taking the sofa bed!). So you 'll watch tv in your room anyway!
