The Disneyland Website says

In addition, starting June 4, 2011, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure will be available for early access previews 30 minutes before the Disney California Adventure Park opens for Guests of the Disneyland Resort hotels.

So, does this mean that only resort hotel guests will be allowed into the park at 9:30, or will Ariel be open at 9 when resort hotel guests are allowed in for WOC?

So very confusing!!!!:headache:

Who knows how it will work?

Just my ideas. Maybe the SF street rope drop will be pushed back, to let resort guests to the front. Maybe they will split the street, regular guests on the left, hotel guests on the right next to the LM building.

Looks like we won't have any clear answers until the 4th. Will be interesting to see the traffic patterns at DCA that morning.

Well, if DOBIE were in charge, she would open the park at 9:30 for resort guests to get WOC fastpasses, ride Soarin and Ariel.

But, we will have to see...

Personally, as a non resort guest, it's giving me even more reason to consider just skipping the ride. If resort guests will already be lined up before I can even get to it, I'm not sure I even want to waste a rope drop on it. Wasn't too excited about it anyway.

DH and I have decided to skip it this year, too, as DD won't remember the ride and she doesn't like long lines. I'm wondering if this means the park won't open at 9:30 to allow others to ride Soarin' like it has in the past. That's really going to crimp my itinerary. But good to know it now while I still have 2 weeks or so to work out the schedule. Looking to hear updates soon! Thanks for the heads up OP.

I'm really glad I have a couple weeks after it opens to see what happens too. Makes it a little easier. I described the ride to my girls and they aren't interested, especially with "new ride lines". So, that frees up some time for us. Here's to hoping the TSMM line is a little shorter because of it! lol

We are of the same opinion, not one of the family members wants to go even if we are resort hotel guests.

I will be there in two weeks. If the lines are too crazy I'll just wait and catch the east coast version in a couple years.

I'm not sure the lines will be bad for LMAUA.

As they have soft openings it seems like even with people hanging out for it to open, the line would build up quickly, but never got to more than 30-40 minutes. Even on those days some people found the parks to be pretty busy.

Of course with Disney advertising the resort using LM and ST, and some people in socal totally unaware of the soft opening and AP previews, there might be huge crowds coming in for the grand opening this weekend. I'm curious what lines are like on Saturday.

Hey where on the disney website did you see this? I couldn't find it anywhere. Seems interesting that they would give disney resort hotel guests both a fast pass for ariel and an early entry? All, I noticed on the website was the fastpasses.

Make like you are going to reserve a room at one of the resort hotels, and on the page where they show your quote, click "Soundsational Resort Benefits."

I see.. :( I might never get on the ride now ... tear tear. Seriously, though a fast pass and early entry, Disney is making it difficult for non-disney resort hotel visitors to get on this ride. Hmmm..I suppose still get there at 10 am and hope for the best.

They did the same for WoC last summer. FP and still allowed early entry for resort guests.

BTW, even guest at the main entrance can enter at 9:30 to go to Soarin and pick up WoC FPs. How then will be kept from going down to LMAUA is yet to be seen.

I found it odd too, but they should do something for the insane prices they are charging to stay onsite this summer. Still, I think this will be a fast loader and the waits will probably be similar to TSM at DCA.
