GC upgrade to concierge??

Has anyone ever asked for an upgrade to concierge at check in at the Grand Californian?

We did that last year at WL in WDW and upgraded for $35. It was much cheaper than if we had booked concierge level ahead of time.

I don't feel like the concierge level is worth the full $100 or so difference per day for us but it is definitely worth the $35 difference. Has anyone asked???

We have a suite booked, but I was surprised to find out that not all the suites are concierge. I'm used to Disney Cruise Line, and WDW, where the suites are all concierge.

When we were originally booking a suite last year for this year's stay, we were told that all the suites were concierge. Are you sure that your suite is not?
