GBA Question

Help please!
My Daughter wants to buy a GBA to take to Florida.
But is it better to buy one out there? - what about voltage ??
Or buy one here and buy some games out there? - will they work on a UK GBA?

The old Gameboy Advance's are fine as they use batterys. If you buy the newer type they are rechargable and you will need to take an adapter - but the voltage is ok.

You will save lots and lots of money if you buy an older type out there, but if you buy the newer type the SP will not work in the UK.

So.. either buy an original type out there or here, or buy an SP here with an adapter.

Games work just fine as you have already been told!

I would buy an SP here, I have the older GBA, the Sp is better as it is backlit and with a charger. Its a loong flight and we have been glad of our GBA on the outbound leg.

My DD has the Nintendo DS which was bought from US and works fine over here too. My DH just bought a GBA/SP power mains adapter for charging it here, I think it cost £6.
The great thing about the DS you can play GBA games on it aswell as the DS games, which we have bought from the UK & the US, which are really great.

I think getting one B4 we go to keep her occupied on the plane is the plan. Then we can Walmart some more games when we are there.
It looks like they have more selection i.e Disney's Raven etc, and they are much cheaper.

my dd bought the gba sp over in walmart last october, we also bought an adaptor so that she could re-charge it up back in the uk. we got shark tale and the incredibles for around $35 each! if you go onto the walmart website, you can price up the games and gba sp .... alot cheaper than buying here!
