Gaylord Palms transportation

My husband has a conference at the Gaylord Palms next month which will leave me alone with three kids (6,4,2) durning the day. We will be spending most of the time at the Disney parks.
I was wondering if anyone had any input on the transportation system at there. And do you think I would be better off renting a car?

Any information about this resort will be appreciated.

I can not tell you how early the bus starts running, but when I used their bus at a conference it ran till about closing time of the parks. I don't recall that it stopped at any other hotel, and Rather than the hassle of the car parking, parking fees at both the resort and the theme park, I wouldn't rent a car just for the parks. Now I need to tell you that the cost of the food at Gaylord is pricey at best. You may want a car for eating away from the resort. The resort is huge and parking there is a bit of a trek, jmho.

I think we have decided to not rent a car, mainly due to the fees.
