Well, I just returned from a 3 day meeting in Orlando this weekend. Our convention was held at the Gaylord Palms. My wife and I stayed there also. I must say it was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were nice, but they did have somewhat uncomfortable and creeky beds. I was very impressed with the hotel, especially for the price in the area. For anyone staying offsite at a nice, upscale hotel, I would definitely recommend it. Of course, having a Disney store onsite made me like it that much more!
Our convention had a golf tournament at the nearby Falcon's Fire golf course. Very nice course, but for anyone thinking of playing it in the near future, "heed this warning". They've overseeded their greens and some of the greens have a heavy dose of sand on them. Consider that when putting. They are offering a discount because of the overseeding so it's a good time to play the course as I can imagine it's probably very expensive.
