Thanks for the answer about Arielcon. That was really bugging me!

When we went to WDW for our first trip in 2002 it was during GDs. I am a fiercely overt heterosexual truck driver, but I saw nor heard anything of concern and the crowds were not heavy. In fact, I found the gays there to be very friendly and polite -- unlike the South American Tour Groups, the Pop Warners, the Cheerleaders, and multiple hoards of hetero families I have encountered on our trips to the World. Our next trip is during GDs next year and I still have no problems with that.

+1 Although I'm a drop dead sexy male.....I wasn't accosted in the men's room! I'm a right wing Texas born conservative red neck.....I had a great time the first week of june and me and the mrs. saw nothing that should stop anyone from going the first week of June! Live and Let Live!

It's obvious when you look at the reason for wanting to not "expose" them.

you're making that assumption, and you know what they say about assumptions...

I agree she should have left well enough alone, but now she's been branded an intolerant bigot not deserving of being a mom

I think its perfectly acceptable to hold a belief and raise your child within that belief while being mindful and respectful of other people's lifestyles and beliefs. Hate the sin...not the sinner type situation.

I hope this thread clears up any potential misconceptions people might have about Disney turning into a juiced up gay night club at 2am during gay days.

Hmm, Why not read what Dis-Founder/ Webmaster Pete has to say about Gay days? he describes the event quite differently than whats been posted in this thread.

In fairness to all ... that note is a few years old...

I wrote to Pete (before becoming a mod) and asked him to go this year and experience it again for himself and update his note.

It is worth noting that I encourage different views.. but I don't want anyone to think that Pete's view is the only one out there.

That's one person's opinion. Just because he's the Grand Poob-ah doesn't give his opinion any more credit than a regular poster.

Why don't people go and experience it for themselves and then they can offer one.

We were there in 2006, and it really wasnt crowded at all! And everyone was so nice! I actually wish we could go back the same week next year, but due to school conflicts, we had to push our trip back by 10 days.

If you post following me on this thread and your post is about anything to do with the morality of homosexuality, who should see what or anything that does not respond to how this event affects crowd levels, it WILL be deleted without notice.
