I don't see anywhere that it specifies which days you can use the tickets.
In the shopping cart area it only says there is a blackout on dec 21-31.

So the convention dates and name are printed on the tickets and e-tickets?
I saw those caveats that you linked. but, on the page where you buy, it alludes to convention but not specifically which one.

Seems like you could land on his page, buy tickets and not know that you had a specific time frame?

But the dates are on that first page, you can't miss it. And the little blurb about the tickets being for specific convention dates is very clear. If I was getting tickets and didn't know the dates of the convention and saw that warning, I'd stop where I was and look up the dates. They tell you twice, and you obviously would be buying 'special' tickets. When you get any kind of discount, you have to take thew time to know exactly what you are getting.

I have used these also, for my family of 4 with no problems. When you purchase these, it lists on the print out e-tickets the dates they are good for. So if you are within those dates, you are fine.
We just turn in our e-ticket printouts at the gate entrance, they scan them and it prints regular tickets for you. Nice and easy!

Be aware that you don't receive any kind of MM with these tix.

Wait so let me double, triple and quadruple check. I'll be in Disneyland from Oct 10-16 2012 with my girlfriend and I could use these tickets no problem?

and if so, does this discount make the parks more crowded at this time of year? Oh and it says on the gay days page that the park closes at 5 for what I'm guessing is the Halloween party. Thought it was closing at 7?

I'm not sure which is the correct closing time. I'm guessing 5 was the more conservative, preliminary guess and 7 is the accurate one? (How they clear out half the guests at 7, I have no idea, but I'm sure they have it down to a science).

I've never been on this week before so I can't speak to crowds. But I doubt most people know about the discount, outside real conventioners or outside Disboard readers. I would think the limited hours due to the season and to the Halloween parties might counteract the draw of a discount anyway?

I'm assuming anyone can use the tickets. That's what's been posted here. They do say they're for 'family and friends of conventioners' so unless they planned to somehow make a proven conventioner vouch for each guest, how would they check it?

for those going "outside" the dates of the convention, look for a different convention and see if there are deals there.
