Gaurdians rocket animatronic wondering anyone else experience this?

4.5 day trip we rode guardians 4 times

3 times we saw rocket come out in the TV room and do his talking.

Last night he didn't appear but he was on the TV doing his spill so I'm wondering if this is the backup plan when he doesn't appear up on top or if there's a problem with the animatronic

Seems like a logical assumption
I would not be surprised if the Rocket video was created as a backup in case the animatronic was not ready for the opening of the attraction. It was mentioned during the Premier Party panel discussion that Rocket was very quickly designed and build, skipping some of the usual prototyping steps.

Sounds like that is the B mode. Good idea to have a back up for these very advanced animatronics as they often have issues.

Do tell. I enjoyed seeing his little paw grabbing the walkman, but I wondered it would start holding up the line as people were wanting to stand there to watch for it vs. going through the doors when they opened.

Well I thought it was strange the Walkman was not there last night when we walked in.

Guess that explains why just the TV but he did pull the Walkman out on the TV and said he needed it

I saw a few people who went on it yesterday and they didn't have that. I wonder if it has to do with which side you are on. We you on the side that uses the stairs or the one where you are on the floor level the whole time?

We went on the left side the first 2 times and the right side after that it was the the right side we didn't see rocket live the 1 time
