I think coulottes were more like tight short capris than like gauchos, weren't they? Maybe not, but it's how I've always pictured them. Or maybe I'm thinking of pedal pushers.

Culottes are like above the knees gauchos. They are shorter and full. Pedal pushers are tight short capris, I think they fall right above the knee. I had pedal pushers as a young child, culottes a little older. Never did the gauchos but I did wear palazzo pants. (ankle length very wide)

That just means you are ahead of the times. I watch my best friend to see what she wears because she knows trends before they even come out. Last year it was gauchos.

Whats the deal with all these Granny shoes this year? lol I love flats , but jeeze, even my great aunt wouldn't be caught dead in the Be-dazzled crap they are putting out now. Should ask my mom if I could borrow her S.A.S shoes. lol
