OK, I'll admit that I'm not going to WDW this year but I am flying from Gatwick with Thomson so I hope you don't mind the questions.

I haven't booked a meal on my flight to Naples so -

1. Can I take a drink on board with me even if I have to buy it after security?

2. What sort of food am I allowed to take on with me and will there be problems with security?

3. Are there any opportunities to buy a portable snack once I've gone through security at North terminal?

Thanks for any help.

You can take anything on the plane with you that you've bought after security.

I personally wouldn't take any food through security that isn't dry, pre-packed stuff like sweets, or crisps etc.

Gatwick North and South both have similar shops, so you can get a meal deal from boots, or various fast foods etc.

Standard airport stuff.

we nearly always take something from Pret a Manger (after security) onboard with us. They have one in both terminals. We also take bottles of water with us because we tend to drink a lot of it on long haul flights and its just easier then having to keep on getting up and down and asking for it all the time.:)

Thanks for your help.

We don't fly very often and most of our flights have been from the South terminal with Virgin so a charter flight from the North terminal is a new experience for us.

Most airlines don't like you drinking your own alcohol and have a policy against it

That doesn't mean it doesn't happen :)
