Has anyone eaten at Gator's Dockside at the port? And if so, was there a good view of the ships leaving? I can't tell if it's right on the water or not. Thanks!

formerly Millikan's .. which closed and the property bought

it is on the water

it is the western most of the port places

It is a local 'chain' and frankly, I won't eat at the Gator's near my house ... tried it a few times when they opened <the last time> and 3 strikes you're out IMO. Gator's has been an on again off again entity in the area for many years and never seems to pull it all together . . . 3 times opened and so far twice failed IME since 2007 . . .

I MUCH prefer Grills and have for many years .... THEY have been open the entire time.

I was looking at quite a few I thought were in that area and I was leaning toward Gators mainly because of the menu. No one in my family eats seafood and the others all seem to have a majority of seafood on the menus (I can't imagine why??? ;) ). This one seemed to have a lot more options.

Coming from the mid-Atlantic I wouldn't consider it a loss not to eat any seafood in Florida :)

Gator's near my house features wings and chicken .... IME FAR from the best around.

Have friends who visit twice a year and always want to go to Grills, neither eats fish .. not does mrs for that matter. I only have fish there about half the time . . .

there's a really good pizza place not far away .. but not on the water ... consider Kelsey's in Cape Canaveral. On our 'go to' pizza places locally ... good family friendly Italian.

We’ve been there a lot. Best view of the Disney Cruise Terminal. The food is good. Better French fries than the other restaurants at Port Canaveral. No sea food. Good wings
The first photo is zoomed in a bit. The second photo shows the distant but the ship is gone

Large green space for the kids to run around. You can see the Dream between the restaurant and tiki hut/bar

I can’t agree more. Never been to the PC location, but in general, I think Gators is awful.

If folks are going to watch the ships before or after their cruise or something then just know you’re going for the view.

We had a nice meal at Fishlips the day before our cruise. Yeah, it's a lot of seafood on the menu, but not all. We later found out we could have gotten the grouper as a platter, not just a sandwich. The frys were great too. We watched the Dream sail out from the second floor. Below is the view of her docked from near our table. We plan to visit again prior to our next cruise.
