Gator sighting at HH

After B'lou told overyone that gator sightings were rare, my kids and I were coming back from a dolphin cruise.

What to our wandering eyes should appear, but a gator!

He was swimming along gently across from the resort where the kayaks are stowed!

Wow!

The captain said that was the second time in 8 years he saw on this far inland.

I'd rather not think about all that lives in the ocean.

My in-laws live in Hilton Head. There are gators all over the place. They were there BEFORE development and they knew it before they bought. It's part of the charm! That said, watch children and pets, don't leave them unattended.

Disney has a magic gator repellent right? I mean they wouldnt allow gators to spoil someone's disney magic, right? probably just animatronics, right?

We were at HH last August. We had a 2 gators come right up to the pier. It had the CM's running becuase they were afraid the guest might start feeding them and then they would never go away. It was fun to watch. Couldn't tell who was really watching who. The people on the pier watching the gator or the gator watching us, waiting for some poor fool to jump in.

We saw an alligator over by the pier on the first day of our stay (June 8th).
