anyone know of any pet friendsly cabins? we will be needing a 2 bed room for 6 people for the weekend Dec 3 for a few days

You can search by 'pet friendly' at patriot getaways. I'm sure other sites too.

Ok well I don't know about OP but we finally booked. It's not where I would have chosen but so many resorts are all booked! We are leaving Friday and my sister only finally committed Wednesday, and she has a limited budget for her share. ...So what I finally ended up doing was a "Name your own price" deal from patriotgetaways. I wish that Cabinfever did that- I emailed them and let them know they had a cabin I was interested in but it was a bit above my price range, but they weren't willing to negotiate, so...

Oh well. The only thing I wanted and didn't get was a pool table. We've got a possible Disney trip in the works for January so when I go looking for rentals there, I'll find one that has one.

How did the "name your own price" thing work out with Patriot Getaways?

I was looking into doing that, but I wasn't sure what prices were acceptable. I googled it, and this disboards page popped up! We're everywhere, lol.

"Name your own price" worked great- only thing is you have to be fairly close to your departure date. The weekend before they had offered all unbooked cabins for 50% off so I tried that, and it worked. Just remember to read carefully what the taxes and fees are. There's a $30 processing fee, a $30 'security deposit waiver' fee (it states you can waive this if you provide a security deposit instead, but didn't offer that option booking through name your own price) and since ours was a 2 bedroom, a $55 cleaning fee. I think taxes were something like 12 or 13 percent.

We're going to squeeze in a quick last-minute trip before school starts, so I'm looking at Wednesday - Saturday of next week. Right now they are offering 50% off since I'm in the "last minute specials" range...so I think I'll make my offer at 60% off the regular price. All they can do is say no...and then I'll just book at the 50% off special. It's worth a shot, anyway!
