Gather round Organizers this is your Queen speaking

Ok, first step DONE! I've cleaned out their closets and drawers, now I have to make a list of what they need...everything! They have outgrown everything this summer. My DD9 is bigger than then usual 4th grader, she's into a size 16+ and I'm having a very hard time finding clothes that fit AND look her age. Most of the bigger clothes are just not fit for a 9 year old. Anyone have any suggestions? We're on a very tight budget and I'm so used to shopping at Target and Walmart(don't tell my kids, they have no idea!) for such great deals, but their girl sizes stop at 14/16.

I'd appreciate any help!

Do you have a Kohl's near you? I seem to remember size 16 jeans in the girls department. :)

Its really a nice plan ( the Holiday grand plan) actually. It lets you focus on one area of your house at a time so you can really plan out your holidays easily.

really.... it works :)

binny and Jenn, there is a new Kohl's going up right down the street from me..I'll definately check it out!

Thanks for the tip,

I would love to join in, we are in serious need of de-cluttering and the kids rooms are EXACTLY where I need to start. We have our consignment sale coming up quickly!

Count me in? Even if I'm not a regular around here? If you saw my house you'd feel sorry for me and probably send in a rescue squad! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_2_31.gif' border=0></a>

Welcome Lori! Dont worry we have all been there! :)

So lets talk about papers today.

What are your plans for dealing with all those papers that come home everyday from school? If we have a plan we can tackle them a little bit easier and make those first few days a little less hectic ( which is always good right?!)

Yesterday I bought a 3 drawer plastic organizer like this one ( but half the price at Walmart! )http://www.stacksandstacks.com/html/10890_3-drawer-chest.htm
I labled one "To be signed" one "signed" and one" to school"
that way (the thought is) kids will be able to put their papers that I have to look at ASAP in the to be signed drawer and theyll know to look in the signed drawer and to school drawer for what they need to take to school. I know this will take some training and some help especially for the little ones ( and lets face it Ill just have to DO it for Karissa LOL) but hopefully this will really cut down on the paper hurricane around here.

What are your plans for dealing with papers this year?

Well since my oldest are in high school I dont get to see to many papers. They collect them for many months in their binders til the things burst open, lol.
Although paper clutter is always a huge problem for me.

Count me in but I guess this means I have to do some laundry. ;) :teeth:

OK my kids' closets and dressers are all cleaned out!!!

WOHOOOOOOOOOOO

That feels so good!!

I think I only need 1 or 2 more pairs of jeans for Cameron but I may have some in the "grow into" box in the garage.

Hmm, good quetion about the papers. I don't know what I am going to do. I will have to think about that one. :)
