For those of you that have had the Gastric Bypass, I can assure you that if you show your card or letter from your doctor, you will only be charged the child's price at Disney's Buffets. I used it at every buffet we went to and was not even given any raised eyebrows. In fact, at 1 buffet, the server didnt even read the card, he just saw i had it in my hand and took my word for it. Also FYI when it comes time for dessert, dont be afraid to ask for fruit even if it isn't on the menu or buffet. I did this twice and they were very accommodating. I had no problems at all maintaining the low fat high protein diet at WDW

This is very useful information! Thank you very much!

I haven't had bypass surgery (although it is something I have considered), but my sister-in-law has, and she is planning a trip with us to WDW this fall. I was already thinking that she'd probably want to avoid buffets, since she can eat very little at a time and would feel she hadn't gotten her money's worth. This should be very useful to her.
