I have a member of our party that has recently had gastric by-pass surgery. It is her first trip to WDW and we are planning some character buffets. She has a card from her physician stating she can eat very limited amounts of food intended to use to show at restaurants. Does anyone have any knowledge or prior experience with this?

What she would love is at the buffets to be able to at least pay a child's price since she will not be eating even as much as a child would. At table service restaurants it probably will be no problem to share or pay for an additional plate charge. The buffets are really the issue.

TIA!:)

I had Gastric Bypass in 4-07 and I have been to WDW 4 times since. I have been to:

1900 Park Faire
Tusker House
Crystal Palace
Hollywood & Vine

all of those buffets allowed me to pay the childrens price. I don't think that you will have a problem. Have her bring her card, I was only asked for it once but she should have it with her.

Thanks everyone! I know she will be happy to hear the past experiences. I knew I'd get an answer right away on the Dis!!:goodvibes
