$4.26 for regular ~western 'burbs of Chicago. Our total cost for 4 drivers last month was $420...yeeeeeeeeahh, I'm ready for prices to drop some.

When I went to work Monday morning it was 3.65 when I came home 9 hours later it was 3.99 I saw 3.98 today.

Driving home last night in Fort Wayne, IN(Northeastern Indiana) it was $3.69 and driving to work this morning it was $3.99....ridiculous.

$4.09 right now and annoying as all get-out... Its the price of living in a small town with no competition. Gas prices jump 5-10¢ every weekend and usually come back down on Tuesday, but are never as low as in the suburbs. If I put gas in when I'm at my mom's or MIL's it is at least 30¢ cheaper.

I drive so little that it really shouldn't bother me. There's virtually no impact on our budget - even a dollar a gallon difference only adds $250 to our yearly gas costs. But it still irks me for whatever reason.

That's cheap. We are a suburb of Chicago and we average around 4.19. Seen some at 4.09 and some at 4.29. It bounces around.

$4.10 a gallon in Bangor, ME. Are you kidding me? We have to drive everywhere up here! Up in the County (Aroostook) or Downeast, people will drive an hour just to get to the grocery store.

$3.94 today if I remember correctly. This is in the Milwaukee, WI area.

What is minium wage there

Hi - our minimum wage for over 21's is around $9.50 per hour. We filled our car with diesel at the weekend and it cost £80.00 - around $126.00. And I'm talking just a standard car not a big gas guzzler! We love going to Disney and filling the hire car with gas - it's so cheap we feel like thieves!

^^ this is where we are...thinking $3.44/gallon is cheap.

I don't get this kind of reasoning. If you're only buying 5 gallons it cost the same whether you are driving an economy car or a Hummer. It's like that commercial for Toyota that says "luckily she was driving a Corolla so she could get to the next gas station." All that means is there was still some gas in the tank. Any car can still have some gas in the tank. Some people will believe anything.

gas is still $3.59-$3.62 in the town where i work, but, outside of town, where i live, i was able to get gas this morning for $3.55. DH works in another town, and he said he filled up his car yesterday on his way home from work for $3.43. as sad as it is, i was a little jealous.

Their pipelines burst. And you guys up in the midwest and Northeast get the bill for their incompetence? Now the Gulf refinery shut down for the hurricane, that was the wise thing to do. Can't do much about hurricanes.
