$2.77 here in NE alabama, but with the oil spill, i expect prices to skyrocket. i'm praying they hold steady another 3 weeks so that DD will be out of school and dance will be over-much less running around for me.
Paid $2.92/gallon yesterday (outside of Philly). I'm not too worried about $3.00+. It's gone above that around here every Summer for the past 2 years, and we've survived.
Last year I started riding my bike to work during the warmer months, and it has helped the wallet, as well as the part of my body that my wallet sits against .
good luck to everyone though as these prices will keep on climbing.
It was 2.99/gallon here for quite a while (South Florida), but this weekend it just dropped down to 2.89/gallon. I'm not sure where it's at today.
It's so weird- I would expect the Orlando area to have higher prices but it is always lower than what we have at home! We were just there this past week and we saw 2.73/gallon.
It's been $3.05 here for over a month. Now if I go just across the state line into Agawam, MA, the station right down the street from DBF's house is $2.85 - so guess where I go now?
I wish we were close to that amount, OP ... in Southern California it ranges from $3.07-$3.20 ... I seriously cannot remember when it was below $3.00 since I moved here in '08. It was actually almost $5.00 a gal THAT summer.
We are entering the EPA mandated "summer season" which requires specific blends. That means your prices will go up. It costs refiners more to make the lower RVP gas so the cost is passed on.
