I haven't seen a Lawson's in years, so I don't think they are business. Mostly been replaced with Circle-K's around here.

In College I did a paper on how the Business Standards/Acumen/Procedure designed by the Telegraph/Telephone companies in the 1800's lead to and made possible the logic used in todays computers.

BTW the 1800 Phone & Telegraph guys got it from the ancient Greeks & Romans.

I remember....

In the early 80's a local singing telegram company (I don't recall the name)
at the end of their commercial it said....

"call DJ1-1234....call DJ1-1234"

Not sure if this had anything to do with the "old way" of using phones or not or if it was just a fluke. but it has stuck with me for 25 years!!! (i was 10)
