We have reservations for this, and I'm wondering where it is exactly inside the GF. Is it on the first floor in the same area they have the Princess Aurora tea?
When we went for dinner at Narcoossee's we had no idea that it was actually in a different building, and had to run to make our reservations! I'm going with my two DDs and my mother who will be in a scooter, so I want to avoid anything like this happening.

TIA

Rear of hotel first floor lobby . . .

1) If coming from second floor monorail station
. . . go down to main floor
. . . go to back of lobby
2) If coming from boat docks
. . . go into rear entrance
. . . turn left at lobby

See if you can ask for Patricia as your server, she is wonderful!!

Thanks all!
I'm also wondering if it would be possible to have a photopass person there durring our meal (before or after). This is a special suprise for my mother (who is from the UK) and I want to keep all the memories I can get.

TIA

post 14 has the pictures and he said it was $150 for 30 minutes...

the Grand Tea is one of our favorite things to do at Disney - its a laid back quiet restful, very peaceful time - there is no rush, and yes, they will refresh your pot (hard to believe that dh, dd and I all went through a whole pot of tea!!)

(DD got creative with the settings on the camera here!)

Sandy - Thanks for the pictures!!!! Thats a lot of food on the table! LOL What package did you get, and how many? I see that you said the Grand Tea (thats what I'm planning on too) - Did everyone get that?

well, in the interest of "full" disclosure... :rolleyes1

I dont remember! :rotfl:

I also have the first pictures from what we usually get - which sounds like the Grand Tea - we love scones, we love those sandwiches - oh, and dont hesitate to order how you like it - DD usually gets the "Mrs Potts" sandwiches (is that pbj?) or if there is one you dont like - ask if they can double up on one you do like (I may be picky, but I eat all the variety there for some reason!!)

know that the clotted cream is more like butter than whipped cream, but with a yogurty flavor - but its very "British" and I've learned to love it!! :goodvibes

the last picture was a different year - and we added the champagne - we all had just finished the Marathon (Half for me!) so we were a celebrating! Love that they add a strawberry to their champagne!

eta went to allears - and we did get the Grand Tea for our last one, I think with DD we've skipped the champagne? I'm sure we wont do that again!! LOL

Its just such a "event" that makes you feel so "sophisticated" and special!

oh, and do make sure you know not all the teas are served in the teapots - some are served in pressed pots - so if its important, read the fine print and talk to the server!!

Whats the difference between tea in a tea pot and tea in a press pot?? lol

1) If using loose tea fines (same type as in bags), presses are OK.
2) If using leaves, pots are better.
3) But, if using a press, remove the tea IMMEDIATELY after first cup.
4) If not removed, the tea continues to brew and is bitter.

NOTE:
GF uses only Orange Pekoe (OP) and Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) tea.
Ask which is being used before you allow the press.
BPO, is on the margin whether it is good for a press.
OP is ok for a press.

You will love the tea. I order the cinnamon tea during Christmas week! It is soo much fun.

I was hoping they would have something like a chai, but I realize that chai is Indian, and they are going a more traditional route. I will have to save the Chai for Sanaa....
