Garden Statue

This question isn't Disney, but I thought maybe someone here could be of help.

I'm trying to find a basset hound garden statue I saw in someone's yard while in Montreal last weekend. He was almost life size, unpainted concrete, standing with his head and tail up. Not at all cartoonish, very basset and quite nice. But I've surfed all over, checked with local garden shops, and nothing. Anyone here know of a site where I might find this?

Most garden centers and nurseries sell garden figures.

There are also a cool ornamental garden store on route 1 in North Attleboro, Mass. There are also tons of shops on the old Cape Cod road that goes through Buzzard's Bay. I wish I could help with the names of these shops or whether or not they have the dog you are looking for, but I'll bet they do.

Most ornamental garden shops carry a huge selection of dogs.

Hi,

Check out E-bay too every now and then also...just type in the word Basset Hound in their front page search enjine. I use it all the time to find my Boston Terrier stuff....

Thanks for your suggestions. Actually, I posted this question in a basset forum, and someone led me right to a retailer in Canada. I'm holding off as I hope to know in a couple of weeks whether or not a breeder is going to let me take one of her pups. I hope so -- our basset, Charlie, is lonely and could use a playmate. But if the breeder decides to keep all the puppies -- I'll get the statue!!!

I've been very frustrated by this because I saw several of these statues on ebay not too long ago (March?), and I didn't bid because I wasn't sure what the statue would really be like. Now that I know -- I'm kicking myself.

Oh, I do hope you get a puppy as a playmate for Charlie. But, can't you get the statue too?
