Anyone ever eat here? DW & I did on our first night last trip and it was absolutely miserable. I have a co-worker asking me about it - they were really excited about it. I hate to crush that by sharing my one experience, so can anyone provide more feedback?

We ate there on a Friday night late last October/early last November. They had a seafood buffet. My Mom thought it was excellent, I thought it was okay, I wasn't too hungry going into it, but remember fantastic desserts. They put some sort of bowl in the middle of our table for the crab leg shells, and gave you a bunch of wetnaps for cleaning up. There was some soup that had crab claws in it that was pretty good. The whole reason we went was for character interaction with Timon. That was WELL WORTH it, as the place was about empty, and we had Timon (and Rafiki) come by twice, and stay a long time each time. (especially Timon, as we had a stuffed Timon with us as well.) From what I remember, they gave me a discount when I showed my AAA card. The place is not on the DDP. Timon & Rafiki are there Mondays & Fridays. Fridays is the seafood thing, Mondays (I think) is a barbeque rib buffet. They have other characters other days (not sure who, I have read Goofy & Pluto) and they also have a Saturday & Sunday breakfast buffet with characters. (a server told me that they were Chip & Dale, but I have read that they are Goofy & Pluto.)

Overall it was a very relaxed, fun character interaction time. Food was secondary. (that said, we did the Princess Storybook thing at Akershus in Norway, and I found the Garden Grove food MUCH better than that food, but that's just a matter of taste, or perhaps my lack of it? :))

We did the sunday brunch. The characters were Pluto and Goofy. We had 2 hungry teen ds so we didnt go for the characters, just the food and there was tons of it, all good, made to order omlets, lots of fresh fruit etc. We would definetely go again for this meal.
