:wizard: How far in advance should you place your order with Garden Grocer. We are going in the middle of August and want to make sure we get a delivery time. Also, if you put things in your cart and place the order can you go back and add to it?? This will be our first time using the service and aren't really sure how it all works.

I placed my order with them about a week ahead of time, and I think I could save and add to it. It should say on the website. It was a great idea I got from this board and it worked out great for us!

We're going in 5 weeks and I placed my order today. (WAY too early, but things look to get busy here over the next week or two and I didn't want to forget.)

I put together an order in June and have it saved to my cart so that I can play around with changing it. We are going the last week in August and I think I'll place my order 3 to 4 weeks in advance to make sure that I get the date that I want. We used them last year and had them deliver before we even arrived which worked out perfectly for us.

I prefer to use Marge with Wegoshop. She's a sweetheart & has literally gone to the end of the world (WDW) for us with no complaints ;)

If you have decided to use GG, just make sure you receive ALL items on your list. The one time we used him, Brian rushed us through the receiving process saying he was running late. Shortly after his leaving I discovered we were missing a few items I called him & left a message. He didn't call back. Later in the day I got a hold of him and mentioned the missing items.. .his response was "Ah, I wondered who those belonged to" with a chuckle. He promised to drop the items off on a run he had later but never did. When I called again and he finally answered, he denied the preceding conversation ever happened and ever having our items. He concluded by stating we signed for our delivery and hung up on me.

I let it go as I wasn't about to let his poor business attitude ruin my Disney vacation.

:wizard: I have gone on the WeGoShop website and honestly can't figure it out. How do you order things? Am I doing something wrong because I can't find the lists of food that are availabe to order like on Garden Grocer and there aren't any prices. How do you know what you're getting charged? I like the idea of no minimum order but I find it a little confusing.

I also checked it out and had the same questions! We had planned to go with gardengrocer but will end up with whatever is cheaper. Looks like wegoshop has a higher delivery fee? :confused3

Marge, the woman who runs the wegoshop for the Disney area will treat your order much as if she were doing her own shopping. You simply create a free-form list of what you'd like, include brand names and package size preference & she'll email you back with questions if she has any, or you can email her if you're unsure of what's avalable. She looks at sale prices for the different stores and goes to the one that will be less expensive for your order and even uses coupons when she has them. She might have a higher delivery fee, but she passes on the actual item cost after coupons, not a website pre-fixed price. She usually has a helper with her & has never disappointed us, even when I've sent her on a wild goose chase. ;)

We are thinking of ordering a case of water and are considering Garder Grocer or Costco. Does anyone have anything to share on either one? :woohoo:

Do you have to be present when wegoshop drops off your things? How about Garden Grocer?

We have only used Garden Grocer and we love them. We always order at least a month out and have always had everything delivered perfectly on time. We have never had a problem. Would highly recommend them.. :cheer2:

No, we ordered from garden grocer last yr and they delivered to the resort and they held it for us until we got back from the park, including putting the refrigerated items in the frig. It worked out really well. We even had one item missing, and when we called, they sent someone over right away with the replacement. Overall I would reccommend them!

We have had EXCELLENT experiences with Garden Grocer! Have used them repeatedly with our WDW trips, and never were we disappointed. I like the fact that you shop, place items in your cart on their website, and KNOW what you will pay per item. If you aren't happy with price, just move on. I would recommend placing order within month of arrival,as they get soooo very busy that they stop delivering when they max out. Also, when we needed more stuff in between our vacation, someone came right out again. GardenGrocer, here we come again! :cool1:

I have used Marge and wegoshop.com 5 times and been completely satisfied each time.
I greatly prefer making my own list over picking off the Garden Grocer list on their web site. Marge even offers you a choice of stores, including Sam's Club to order from. I order name brands with package sizes. You can allow substitutions or not. Marge even called from the store one trip to ask about substituting something for us. She guarantees a half hour delivery window and has always been right on time.
Great Service.

Another vote here for gardengrocer. We have used them on our past two and visits and everything went very smooth.

Can I ask for some recommendations on what you guys typically buy? It will be myself and my picky DD and I was thinking of eating breakfast, lunch and snacks in the room. I was hoping for some ideas of things I could feed a picky eater on the go that might fit in the fridge or non perishable items. Do you buy sodas, or purchase the refillable mugs at your resort? I'd rather save money not eating in the food court and having a nice dinner out at the parks :)

If your just ordering water then gardengrocer is not for you, they have a $40.00 minimum order requirement, plus delivery fee +tip. Order from Costco, or try the Hess Station near DTD. If you are up to lugging it back to your resort.:goodvibes

garden grocer has a $40 minimum order, so it would probably not work if all you want is a case of water.

I did have a case of water delivered with other items, and that worked out really well.

As far as what we ordered - we got mostly breakfast items for the room. I tried to get some things that we could also carry as snacks:

-cereal and milk
-bananas
-pop tarts
-cereal bars
-string cheese
-english muffins
-peanut butter
-powerade

We stayed at Saratogo Springs, and they had packets of butter & jelly. We had english muffins for breakfast a lot since we had a toaster.
