Ok, we are thinking of ordering from garden grocer for our September trip. I know nothing about them or how to go about ordering. When I fill out the account form do I put in Disney's address (our hotel). Do they deliver to our room or do they keep the order at the check-in counter? If I'm ordering things that have to be kept cold, how does that work if our flight is later? Basically I need to know everything.

Assuming you know the web address is gardengrocer.com. :) Garden Grocer is wonderful, you'll love them. First, put all the groceries you want in your cart. Start the checkout process. Step 1 will be delivery in formation. You'll select that you're staying at a resort and then there's a dropdown menu for you to choose your Disney resort. (Note they aren't delivering to Swan & Dolphin anymore) Once you choose your resort the address and resort phone number will pre-populate. You just have to put in your home information. In step 2 you'll choose your delivery date and delivery time. The times are in 2 hour blocks. Then you'll enter payment information and they'll give you a confirmation number.

To answer your questions, Garden Grocer will deliver your order to Bell Services at your resort during the 2 hour block that you chose. Cold items will be placed in a refridgerator/freezer. When you are checked into your room you call Bell Services and tell them you have a Garden Grocer order. They'll check to make sure it's there and if it is they will deliver it to your room.

The prices are certainly higher than what you'd pay at Target or your local grocery store but IMHO it is so worth the convenience. Especially if you have little ones. There's also a delivery fee and sometimes an additional fuel surcharge, just so you're not surprised.

We use Garden Grocer every time we go to WDW. It's worth it just for the cases of water we have delivered alone! Just be aware that there is a $40 minimum order in addition to the delivery fee. We usually schedule the order to be delivered before our check-in time, that way when we get to our room we can get Bell Services to bring the order right up to us.

Awesome!! Thanks. I'm sure we can do the $40 minimum. I have a 15 month old & a box of diapers is $25 so I'm more than 1/2 way there on that. Plus I'll need whole milk, plus other things for her. Paying for diapers alone will make up for having the pack them LOL.

We are scheduled to arrive at MCO for 12:30 pm. Should I order the stuff to be delivered for like 2:00-4:00?

Also when should I order stuff for September?

If you will be arriving at MCO at 12:30 and taking ME, then you should be at your resort by 2:00 at the latest. I'd schedule delivery so that it will be waiting for you if you arrive at that time. That way you won't have to hang around waiting for IT!

I also have a quick question regarding Garden Grocer. We are going to WDW for the first time this August, and are staying at POR. My family is staying in a Royal Room, but we are also travelling with a family of 5 also staying at POR but in the AB section. Can we put an order in together and split it to save on the delivery charge? Can we then separate the order at Bell Services so that they are delivered to the appropriate room or should we just do that ourselves? Finally, will they deliver beer to bell services for them to hold, or do I have to be present upon delivery. Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can split the order, but you'll have to do the manual labour of taking out the other group's stuff and getting it to them (btdt on our first trip), the items all come together in bags/boxes, so I suppose it would be up to Bell Svcs if they are OK with you doing that there kwim?

You do have to be present at delivery for any orders that include liquor because they need to see you with your ID. You do not need to be present for any orders that do not include liquor. You also don't need to be around for Bell Services to deliver your GG order to your room - at least we didn't have to be there either time. We checked into the resort, went to DTD and our order was in our room (including the refrigerated items being put into the fridge) already.

I love Garden Grocer - super service :thumbsup2

DH and I just booked our trip for December 2012, and I have heard good things about Garden Grocer. We are unsure if we want to bother with it though, as we do have the QSDP during our stay. Any thoughts? Does anyone regret ordering from them??

we have used them for five years and you go to the website and order what you want and then you put in your resort address and they will have it waiting for you in bell services when you arrive. whatever we have ordered cold has been fine...:thumbsup2

Thanks, but when should I place my order for a September trip? Sometime in August?

i usually place it about 2 weeks before....i've done longer before but its not needed. when you check the site out it will have a mention on there of what dates are now full and no longer taking deliveries. so thats a good guideline.

i love gg, we've used them over 5 trips and find them to be great! we had one issue with some milk that spoiled in a fridge before we opened it and i simply called to inform them of it, by the end of the afternoon a new one was delivered free of charge to wl for us. their customer service is wonderful. in december them called dh to let him know our order had been dropped at the contemp.

one thing i will suggest- take your own diapers with you, then when you come home youll have spare room for souvineirs!
