For those of you who have used Garden Grocer, did you receive your delivery closer to the beginning of your two hour delivery window or more towards the end of the delivery window? Just curious.

I honestly don't know and have used them 4 times. LOL We are never there when they deliver. Have never had an issue.

It depends on how many deliveries and where.

We now rent a car for the day so we don't have to worry about it.

No issues with GG, order is usually there early than requested and resort stores perishables appropriately.

I am heading to WDW for the first time in May/June and was wondering about this service. Could someone please post the website for it?

Thanks for your help.

Just a heads up, if your order beer/wine, you need to put it in the comments section of the order form. Follow up with a phone call to pay for the beer/wine, if you want them to leave it with Bell Services. Otherwise you need to be there for delivery.

I don't find their prices that out of line with stores in the Boston area. I was recently in a Hannafords north of Boston, I needed Half and Half. The store I shop in Market Basket I can get a quart for $2.89. A pint at Hannafords was $2.99. So the Hannaford pricing was more in line with what I found on gardengrocer.

We have often had ours delivered before the window. I might have had an 11am - 1pm window, and I'll get off the plane at 9:45 and have a message on my phone that our delivery is already at the resort at bell services. I think sometimes if they have multiple deliveries at one resort (and ours is never with alcohol), they'll drop them off at the same time regardless of the window. Doesn't bother me any!

We use gardengrocer every trip. I always pay online, select a delivery time that is before 4:00, and ask them to deliver it to bell services. That way, I don't have to worry about being at the resort at a certain time or whether my room will be ready when my groceries arrive. After 4:00, when I've checked in and I'm in my room, I call bell services and ask them to bring up the groceries.

can you tell me what an acceptable tip is please?

This was my experience with Garden Grocer:

We picked a late delivery because we were coming in around 8PM. I got a call from Garden Grocer before I left my house in Ohio telling me that the groceries were delivered to Bell Services.

My groceries got there before we even left for the airport! :rotfl2:

It wasn't a problem at all because things were kept cold for us and I had paid via credit card online. I was a bit jealous of my groceries though :lmao: they had more time at Disney than I did.

I felt the prices were a little high but I liked that the prices were displayed on-line.

Although I am trying a different service for our upcoming trip, I would not hesitate to recommend GG.

We used them once and they called 2 hours before our scheduled arrival time to let us know that they were ready to deliver and asking when we expected to be there. This was in 2008. We were driving and around Gainesville (about 90 miles away) when they called.

They just told us they'd leave them at the BWV for us since they were already pre-paid. Worked out perfectly because we didn't have to double tip the bell services folks. (we always add a little extra for each trip, on top of each bag/thing)

I guess since then, they must auto give them to bell services and then just call and say they are delivered??

They were wonderful though - highly recommend them!

When we used them, they left the order with Bell Services and never called. The order was short a couple of items and a couple of items were incorrect, this was on a Friday. We called and left a message about the problem. We called again on Saturday and Sunday, no return call. On Monday we got a call back and they said that all items were delivered and that Bell Services must have shorted us a bag. Regarding the incorrect items, they said that they try to get what you ordered, but they substitute if they can't get the same item.

To make a long story short, after several more phone calls and 2 days, they replaced the missing items and gave us the correct items from "Target"???

This is one of the reasons that we now rent a car for a day and do our own shopping.
