Garden grill?

We do GG every trip, and have taken numerous family and friends there over the years!

Interaction is top notch - best I have seen on property! I've had characters sit at the table with us, had Pluto try to steal my food, and had Chip and Dale toss a roll at each other.

We love the food, and love that most of it is from the LAND ride below. I know some people have said it's bland or didn't like it, but our hearty group of meat/potatoes people who we went with last year enjoyed it immensely, and I've never had a complaint. I love that it's AYCTE and it's really good for kids - nothing unfamiliar.

The atmosphere is great as well! :thumbsup2

I read the beef has some red sauce or red wine sauce. I am dining with 3 farm kids lol. Can you ask for meat without sauces etc. I have very basic meat and vegetable eaters. Thank you!

I'm wondering the same. I'm not a huge fan of sauces on meat- especially wine sauce. It tends to make me sick.

It's one of our favorite meals, and a "must do" for us on our trips to WDW. The food is good- nothing to rave about, but its neat that it comes from the gardens you see during the ride. The character interaction is awesome. It is one of my favorite character meals. I don't feel like we are packed into the restaurants and my kids always feel like they have lots of time interacting with them. It doesn't feel rushed at all.

We have never asked for the meat without sauce, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't.

I'm not a big sauce fan either...we always ask to hold it or on the side...not a problem. Enjoy the variety...turkey, beef and fish...always avoided the rolls and butter until this year and finally gave them a try...excellent!! Usually our 1st meal of vacation!

NOTE1: The eatery revolves within The Land pavilion and
portions of spin include farm scenes from the boat ride. The
food is plentiful, with quality about average. You pay for the
characters and not the food or food quality. Food is served
family style and there is always more, as it is All You Care To
Eat. The characters include Mickey, Pluto, and Chip-n-Dale.

NOTE2: The lower deck tables have one-side seats which
can make talking among the table diners tough, especially
if you have six-to-eight people, which takes about 12-feet
in linear distance. This also means that you cannot easily
stand to interact with characters. The upper has standard
tables that seat people facing each other and you can stand
and interact. I recommend upper tier for characters; lower
for viewing the river-ride scenery. There is little chance of
motion sickness, asa the eatery moves so slowly. If you do
have a concern, the upper level happens rarely.

The character interaction is great! My DH is very straight faced & the characters all got goofy (haha) with him. They spent a decent amount of time with my kids, too. ;-) Food is ok. Not the best on property, but far from the worst and I definitely think you could request sauce-less meat. The atmosphere of the spinning (ever so slightly) restaurant is fun for kids, too. Enjoy!

DH and I really love GG - usually the first meal of our trip! We don't eat fish so we ask them to hold the fish and bring out more turkey and steak which has never been a problem. I also prefer plain butter to the maple butter they serve and they have been able to accommodate us on that too. Character interaction is great and it is fun to eat in a revolving restaurant over Living with the Land!

You could definitely get the meat with sauce on the side in 2011. We did, they also had a kids plate of mac/cheese, chicken leg, veggie that came out with family style entrees. I dont know if they still have that, but my DS love the chicken leg.

Family favorite for sure!

2 years ago I wasn't able to snag a ressie for GG. My kids were so disappointed. This is my 15 year old son's pick. The food is very good. They always ask for seconds for everything including the fish.

The character interaction is always good. They always show even my 70 something year old Father a lot of attention :)

The food was good and we had the best service that we had anywhere when we ate there on our December trip. That being said, my DH and I both ended up a little nauseated from the way it rotates. It doesn't go fast, so I thought we would both be okay, but we couldn't get out of there fast enough. My kids were both fine and it did not affect them.

We ate there last night for the first time. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back each trip from now on. The food was really good- we loved the bread and salad- even my 2 and 4 year old gobbled them up. The fish was good- really we enjoyed everything. The service was good and the characters were a lot of fun and played with the kids numerous times. I think you will enjoy it!

I'd give the character interaction a solid A, but B on most other aspects. Of course, since we are always on a Character Safari, that grade is always first-and-foremost for us!

Out of all the times I have went to the magical place...I only ate there once. I really did love it! My family thought it wasn't anything spectacular...I say if you need an extra meal do it, but do a more popular character meal first!!! :coffee:

Food is fresh and always delicious and it such a great time. DH and I do this every trip, usually the last day as a last hurrah. Great time!
